Whether you just want something to play Texas Hold ‘em on your PS2 for, or something with the depth and customization of a sports sim, All In is your best bet.
-
The tutorials are helpful, the character creation elements are amusing, and the display and presentation of the game outperform every other poker game available.
-
It does feature a nice variety of games, a solid career mode and online play, but struggles in the graphics, audio and artificial intelligence which take the title down.
-
Like every other console poker game on the market, it simply can’t compete with the real experience of playing poker. All In has a lot of goods but an equal number of bads that keep it from being anything but an average poker simulation that fails to captivate and engage the player.
-
Official U.S. Playstation MagazineUp to this point I've been recommending "Stacked" for the advanced poker player, and "World Poker Tour" for newbies. I don't see any reason to change that recommendation. [Nov. 2006, p.112]
-
While World Championship Poker featuring Howard Lederer: All In for PS2 isn’t the worst poker game ever made, it’s in the running.
-
The great selection of poker styles is ruined by limited play options, a horrible presentation and crappy player A.I. Save yourself some cash and just buy a deck of cards instead.
