  1. Fun in small doses and with friends (think of this as a 65 more than a plain-old 60), “Wheel” is the type of simplistic time-waster that appeals more to casual gamers than the hardcore.

Wheel of Fortune brings home the ability to take part in one of TV's most classic game shows, but its presentation values leave the experience feeling a good bit short of what you see on television.

With the exception of some very slight aesthetic changes and a new slate of 3,200 puzzles, this is the exact same home version of Wheel that we saw on PS1. [Jan 2004, p.130]

It's a solid rendition that I find myself returning to whenever the Wheel of Fortune itch strikes. If you're a fan of the show, you'll likely appreciate this game.

My only gripe is the pacing when playing against AI opponents. There are times when their turns drag on for 5 to 10 minutes, which can be a test of patience as you wait for your next spin. While this mirrors the show's format, it would have been nice to have an option to expedite the AI's turns for better pacing.

On the whole, Wheel of Fortune is not a groundbreaking masterpiece, but it faithfully recreates the TV experience and offers a good game of Wheel of Fortune. Now, if only we could have a Family Feud game that matches its quality.

It's a great version of WoF, plus some nice changes (like 2 players w/no ai), but Vanna can get annoying after a while.
