Everything from the official team rosters to the detailed fields and even to the smoke bombs set off in the grandstands at Wembley Stadium keep your head in the game.
-
Official U.S. Playstation MagazineEA has tweaked the right analog stick moves, so now more than 10 skill moves exist, including stepovers and drag backs. [July 2004, p.97]
-
UEFA Euro 2004 is more arcade than sim, but it is still a fairly realistic soccer game...There isnt much new in UEFA that you wouldnt find in "FIFA."
-
Overall, the controls prove powerful and intuitive, granting this game its ultimate top-notch status.
-
UEFA Euro 2004 is a solid game of soccer with plenty of goodies, more than decent visuals and downright addictive game modes that will keep fans of European football more than satisfied.
-
Those of the football mad persuasion will certainly relish the tangible sense of occasion, excitement and authenticity ingrained throughout EA Sport's latest.
-
UEFA Euro 2004 might have only a fraction of the teams and features found in this year's FIFA offering, but the gameplay and options it offers are actually sufficiently different from those found in FIFA 2004 to make it a worthwhile purchase.
-
This ones for the hardcore only. Those who already own FIFA 2004 and are happy with it, or are only casual soccer fans, shouldnt waste their time because youll notice little different between the two titles.
-
During matches, a new passing feature allows for better control of long passes, using a combination of buttons to produce greater ball control in mid-air. In the right hands, the new move can be lethal.
-
The game's only original feature, a morale meter that affects gameplay based on a player's on-the-field performance, comes across as a tacked-on gimmick.
-
None of the changes are ground-breaking, but they do serve to make an already decent engine better.
-
PSM MagazineA well constructed, well presented compliment to "FIFA." [July 2004, p.30]
-
But playing Euro 2004 is a strangely seductive experience, even for hardcore PES fans like us. It's all so official, so slick, so sparkly, and so stylishly smooth while still playing some decent footie that we'll even forgive it for not being PES. Vive 2004!
-
Mediocre at best. The game just has way too much lag and load time to be truly enjoyable.
