MattS.Dec 28, 2004LUV V8s,.. one complain!! happened with V8-1 too,.. the au/vx version released a few months before the BA/VY. the livery of the cars is outdated as soon it was released,.. they should have some way to load new livery on a memory card - probably a difficult and expensive exercise for a PS2,.. perhaps such an action would be easier on the PC version.

May 18, 2023this is a quality game and not this crap that comes out these days This one has a destruction and physics ahead of its time that many current games do not have! And I only give it an 7 because it's not an arcade, it's a simulator along with arcade , which makes my experience not 100% fun.

More impressive than the Xbox title if only for the superb visuals the game gives off. Considering the fast aging technology of the PS2 this is quite an achievement and Codemasters can give themselves a pat on the back for creating a quality port that in many ways out does the original.

Far from just a V8 simulation, this is a celebration of all motor sport, featuring an amazing 15 racing styles, 32 championships and 49 tracks from around the globe. It has something for everyone.

Whilst it is the #1 stop for V8 fans everywhere, it still falls some distance behind the mighty "Project Gotham Racing 2" and "Gran Turismo 3." This game is much more simulation than arcade based, so those expecting to be able to powerslide corners at high speed should look to "OutRun 2" or "Burnout 3" for their arcade racing fix.
