TotalGames.netH3O’s problem, in a nutshell, is its subject matter – the wave, whilst a stunningly beautiful natural phenomenon, provides a most monotonous forum for a videogame imaginable.

There's a nice, big wave to surf on, but the clunky mechanics and boring objectives in the game make it a complete wipe out.

For a few brief seconds when you are adequately surfing, this game can be fun, but it is so unforgiving that the moment swiftly ends and you are ready to break the disc.

Spank!While "SSX" may well be the best game on PS2, Surfing H30 is surely the worst - that's some claim.

Even if you're into surfing, you won't find this title entertaining, and it will probably just serve to make you even angrier. Avoid this game like you would low tide.

It's a horribly designed thing, and it's not so much about surfing as it is about collecting stuff. It's a fluff piece that has waves in it, but somehow skips the surfing part altogether.

The lackluster presentation, awkward control and unbelievably shallow gameplay make this the first official bottom feeder for the PS2. Sic 'em, Jaws.

If you're desperate for a surfer on your PS2, you are better off wallowing in that desperation, alone in bed, and shivering violently, as H30 will do more bad for you than good.
