This is a truly great game.although the missions get repetitive the free roam mode is pretty fun.

This is a good game. I wish they had some on-foot action but besides that its great.

1 point because you can use a wheel. 1 point because you can use a gun too. And 1 point for the first hour of playing before i hated it. More varied missions and a rate of fire which is only hampered by the users finger not the programing. Not worth buying. I just hope all the other companies havent been scared away from the duel peripheral concept.

Good use of two players. Fun to work together at nailing the bad guys. Grand Theft Auto should consider this two player action!

I have so many issues with this game, about 60% of the levels are just slow and awful, but when the levels are good, the game is incredibly fun and intense.

  1. The ability for a player to drive Starsky’s Torino while a second player blasts away Hutch’s Magnum using a GunCon peripheral adds a modicum of multiplayer worth to what is otherwise a deadly-dull and repetitive clone of a dozen similar (and much better) action/driving games.

My favorite level was when I chased a car around for 10 minutes, trying to destroy it. Wait, that was my least favorite level. Wait, that's EVERY level! [Oct 2003, p.123]
  3. The best part of Starsky & Hutch is that it only costs a Jackson, which makes it one of the highest quality "bargain" games yet for the PS2.
