BenV.Oct 8, 2005Once again, Shining Force has become one of the worst games in the genre that is the RPG. And once again, Sega has proven to me that it is the worst videogame company. If you have already picked this up and want to get rid of its horrible taste, I suggest much better action RPGs like the Dark Cloud and Kingdom Hearts series.

NathdmanFeb 9, 2006This game seriously dissapoints me. I was hoping that it would be like the best shining force games, 1 and 2. But it changed for the worst.

MithyusMar 25, 2007Shining Force is not perfect in technique, but certainly brings numerous enjoyable hours of pure fun.

FridayU.Oct 27, 2005An excellent sequel to one of my all time series. I was skeptical about the whole real time aspect, but Sega pulled it off quite nicely. I highly recommend Neo for anyone who loved the first two, or those looking for a new Action-RPG.

Dec 23, 2019Spectacular game I recommend to those who like diablo, since there is no ps2 in diablo only speak bad who knows the old series that is very good, just because it changed the style of play, but the game is very good for those who do not know the series and want to meet :)

It's great fun, a fantastic example of substance and style, and provides depth at nearly every turn. What better way to combat the armies of darkness?
-
In the end, Neo contains all of the Shining that gamers are looking for, but none of the Force.

It's a long game whose simplistic but satisfying combat can be quite addictive, but mostly for meticulous players who don't get frustrated easily.
