An emotional and thought provoking journey full of colorful characters in a setting that evokes classic Disney. The in depth and intuitive gameplay steals the show however and thanks to the available advice of a perpetually drunken mallard named Brammy (whose backstory I refuse to go into here) who handily has a notebook full of any information you could possibly need. This adventure is one brimming with heart, and soul and is honestly the most life enriching and rewarding experience you can have. Expand

One blight on the game is the control scheme; unwieldy at first, cumbersome at best. Placing fences where I want in order to make my farm efficient is difficult. The other issue is that traveling beyond the front gate of your rugged homestead is basically nonexistent. The scope of the game is limited to your farm, and though this may improve focus on the meat of the game, other games like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing make their sandbox environments feel spacious and jam-packed with content. In Shepherd's Crossing you may feel a little lonely traversing your ranch (no matter its size) with only a pet as a companion. Nevertheless, Shepherd's Crossing is naturally a casual, fun, rewarding, fulfilling, fair-paced, and relaxing game for a very cheap price (as long as you are playing on PS2). Expand
