  1. So, if you've always wanted to try making a game for the PS2, or are just interested in design at all, then you should consider checking this out. Otherwise it's probably not for you. It all comes down to desire and imagination.
  2. The game is a powerful and easy-to-use tool, and you'll no doubt use it many more times in the future, although you may not be impressed by the mediocre graphics. As for me, I'll just stick to writing screenplays.
  3. Considering the extent to which one can create an interactive adventure on the PlayStation 2 console system, RPG Maker 3 is a stalwart adventure that does a fine job of not only putting creation tools in the hands of gamers, but making them easy to use.

I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed by RPG Maker 3. Sure, it allowed me to create a version of my ideal RPG, but it still didn’t let me create it exactly as I wanted it.

There's still a massive learning curve, but it's about as accessible as a program of this type can be. [Aug 2005, p.51]

But still great if you have a story you want to see as a game. Full Review »

I sold the game. I started out loving it because of the storyteller system and the graphics were really nice. Once I got to the characterI sold the game. I started out loving it because of the storyteller system and the graphics were really nice. Once I got to the character making I just about went super saiyan and obliterated my PS2. It pissed me off so much when I found the noose around my neck that were the class models. You can only use certain weapons if you're this class, you can only look like these if you're this class, you have to be a male to have that class, you can only use this if you're a female, Fuck That!!! You should not limit the creater telling him this is how your character will look, any problems. Yes!!! I almost went sompletely insane trying to find a way past it. It almost seems like they went out of their way to screw this game to pieces. Full Review »

A good game for people who have written a story and want to make it into a game. The game has a few faults such as your "people" beings A good game for people who have written a story and want to make it into a game. The game has a few faults such as your "people" beings designed on the class they are in. The Graphics were better then I expected. The creation was easy to use. I hope they make a fourth RPG maker.. they have a few major flaws that they need to work out. Full Review »
