    it is the best action game availabel for ps2, bettar than kilzone and gods of war.

    Hardly a masterpiece but a very enjoyable well crafted game..the briefness of the campaign being my only gripe!

    Great story, fun gameplay and easy to use controls, unfortunately the story mode is a bit short and there is no Player vs player in multiplayer. Still hoping for a sequel!

    One of the best budget releases for the PS2. The graphics, while not the best, get the job done well and keep the look of the comics. Gameplay is satisfying, and the controls are (for the most part) fairly intuitive. The only real gripe is the length of the game, but for 20 bucks, you wouldn't expect to get a Final Fantasy lengths game.

    It's was a pleasant surprise to find out just how good this game is. The ingenious ways to interact with your equipment really make the game. There's no right or wrong way to deploy them and the levels are suitably expansive enough to avoid feeling like you're being channel along a linear plot.     In the first minutes its a wonderful time of fun and nice presentation of action though , after that it get monotone and repetitive. Rogue Trooper will be forgiving for those that enjoyed, but in my case is hidden in the shadows and never to appear in my memories. Oh yeah, you've seen Avatar, well this is has similarities just give those freaks guns and there you have it.

    Most underrated 3p shooter on the PS2: Perfect blend of straight forward cover-based-shooter action, with a lot of sniper shooting, some stealth and a strong linear story, some short lightweight riddles at the corners and a motivating gathering and crafting system, which flavour the shooting so it doesn't become boring. I also love the imaginative and colourful alien setting and the fact, that it doesn't display real soldiers but a comic book which is seemingly critically to militarism, as it depicts war as stupid with no side more evil than the other. Non of the less there is a lot of fun in this great action cover shooter military style game. A real hidden gem!… Expand

    As generic as it gets. I played it with my HS friends, we got bored, abandoned it and forgot about it.

    Elements such as stealth and stealth kills, blind firing, and the employment of cover in firefights add little to Trooper's mystique; they won't be used much as they slow down the pace to an almost unbearable crawl. [May 2006, p.53]

    A strong sense of style that stays close to the source material, Rogue Trooper isn't just one for the fans however; an intensive and sometimes intelligent shooter, Rogue Trooper is certainly one that could interest you if you're looking for a shooter that's a little bit different to the usual.
