TotalGames.netThis subtlety, off the wall humour and quaint fun makes Ribbit King multiplayer very compelling indeed.
-
This is a very welcome diversion in what is becoming a hugely predictable current generation console range, and absolutely the sort of thing I can see everyone saying can I have a go once they see it.
-
After the novelty is gone, it's an adequate, if goofy, golf title with passable technical execution. [June 2004, p.123]

BoomtownSo if youve always dreamt of playing golf with frogs, you probably need some kind of therapy, but are likely to enjoy Ribbit King in the meantime. The rest of us will probably find it an amusing curiosity.
-
After the novelty of watching purposely weird characters launch frogs through Mouse Trap-style obstacle courses wears off, which, admittedly, might take a little while, you're left with a simple, shallow game.
-
The best way to describe Ribbit King is mind numbing. My main complaints are that there's too much dead time -- where you're forced to watch animations you've seen countless times again and again (there's no way to skip them) and the game is a lot more about luck than it is skill.
-
It's not the worst game we've played and it certainly looks pretty. But Ribbit King is tedious with a capital Tee. Anyone with a brain need not apply. [PSM2]
