    I don’t want to oversell this low-budget PS2 action/adventure. However, it does have a lot going for it: putting the player in a dangerous yet unusually real situation, meaningful story choices, and lots of replay value. You might be surprised how much you end up enjoying Raw Danger.

    The best playable disaster game you can get (though there isn’t much competition out there). Running through a city while trying to stay warm and alive presents some of the best thrills you can find in on the PS2. It’s not a perfect game by any means, and hopefully they’ll iron out the framerate issues by the time the series goes next-gen, but for those who liked the original or are just looking for a good disaster game, ZZ2 is it.     It’s hard to deny what a rich and deliciously unique experience Raw Danger is and, while the graphics are beyond hideous, the adventure the game introduces is a satisfying one.

Creo que es más acertado que el sistema de supervivencia basado en la hidratación del primero, lo que aporta un poco de realismo y credibilidad. En está ocasión se interconectara las tramas de diversos personajes a través de los capítulos que protagonizaran cada uno de ellos. Tendremos guiños como la ladrona de joyas del primero. Genuinamente hace cosas mejores que el primero, pero se queda a medio camino. Disfrute mucho con la experiencia original, pero este me ha dejado insatisfecho en comparación, a pesar de intentar recrear situaciones más tensas y más variadas, tiene sus puntos de apogeo en algunas escenas, una es censurada, ya que era muy gore, y solo se mantuvo en la edición japonesa. Aun así aportan drama e intentar que haya un vinculo más emocional entre el jugador y los personajes para que empaticemos y los apreciemos o aborrezcamos. Pues en la primera parte esta parte estaba muy descuidada, era casi anecdótica y aquí se nota que intentaron elaborar una trama con más trasfondo más pulido. Al menos esa es la intención, creo que la banda sonora aquí si gana puntos.

    En esta ocasión nuestras decisiones cobran más peso y desembocaran en diferentes finales. Incluso el protagonista de la primera parte tendrá su papel en este juego aunque sea más en un plano secundario. También tenemos un sistema de cocina improvisado que nos beneficiará proporcionándonos calorías y aumentar nuestra estamina.

    La curva de dificultad ahora es más exigente ya que el modo normal es algo más complicado. En la primera parte podíamos escoger el modo difícil desde el principio, aquí se desbloqueara tras la primera partida jugada.

    Prefiero el primero, pues genuinamente me gustaba más el ritmo, la tensión, era más experimental y se tomo ciertas licencias que lo hacían más fresco e innovador. Aquí se atrevieron a experimentar con algunos leves cambios pero realmente se sientes nimios e insignificantes. Buen juego pero no del todo recomendable.

    De todos los arcos argumentales me quedo con el de Amber Brazil. Si alguien quiere jugarlo sin censura ni ningún tipo de modificación es mejor la versión japonesa.    … Full Review »

You will be tempted to change the disc after about 10 minutes of slogging through the setup... and if you do, you will be robbing yourself of a unique experience.

    The setting gets very interesting soon enough, and the game's mechanics (managing body temperature) really shine when the titular danger kicks in. The map searching gameplay can occasionally get tedious if you can't find an item or decipher a pathway, but the environment is never boring... it's very rough around the edges, but it moves and shakes with the best PS2 games.

    It's just a fun, one-of-a-kind game that looks like the graphics department walked out during production.    … Full Review »
