Actually playable, not too hard on the eyes, and pretty darn fun for those of us who hold to our classic fantasy movies despite the passage of time.
-
Above all else, fun. A sloppy, not so pretty effort for sure, the innovative play control and old fashioned challenge dissolves that barrier away.
-
It tells a fun epic tale, with great music, and the gameplay is solid enough to keep you interested. Unfortunately, the shaky camera, cheap enemy AI, and a limited move list keep this game from being stellar.
-
A trifle of a game made more appealing by its suggested price.
-
For anyone above the age of 12, Pryzm Chapter One: The Dark Unicorn is quite forgettable.
-
Official U.S. Playstation MagazineGraphics are average at best, combat is kind of shaky, and the actual quests are rather uninspired. [Sept 2002, p.117]
-
The very definition of interactive mediocrity: good while it lasts, but hardly worth remembering ten minutes after the games been shut off.
-
Just a third-person action game with a respectable storyline and an interesting soundtrack paired with gameplay that simply can't deliver the goods.

sk8rPFeb 16, 2003This game sucks ass. It would be more fun to burn my money. It is horrible. A disgrace to the PS2 system.

RyanM.Feb 9, 2003Absolutely one of the worst games I ever bought. It was decent for the first 2 minutes. This game sucks and I want my money back.
