This is one of the best games I have played. I will admit, I didn't understand this game one bit when I bought it and it ended up sitting on my shelf for almost a year collecting dust. Last year (04) I started to play the game and after lending my time to it, got to understand what the game was about. It is my favorite game now, though I still have not beat it. I'm writing this review in 2015 and I have to say the game is fantastic. A co-op experience unlike any other, it rewards teamwork and lateral thinking. The game feels like it may benefit from PC controls but I had no problem adjusting to its control scheme, which can take place in either third or first-person view points. Innovative hybrid of third person shooter and point and click adventure set in an atmospheric and well realised grimy future dystopia. Based upon the Lost Vikings idea you control a team of four, simultaneously switching between each character as and when their specialised skills are required. Combat is slightly clumsy and the environments so sprawling and puzzles so complex that you can find yourself aimlessly wandering around with little clue as to what to do next, but this makes finding the solution that much more satisfying. Not for the impatient, but if you like games that involve strategy and plenty of thought, this is a quality sci-fi adventure. Expand

Soft of resembles a four-person "Ico" – only not as pretty and much harder to get the hang of. [Jan 2002, p.132]
  2. You may have a harder time with all the backtracking, the imprecise jumping and exploration, and the overall large-scale scope of the game. In any case...a solid performer.
  3. More time has been spent on making sure Project Eden included as many smart, engaging puzzles as possible, rather than incorporating half a billion polygons and the latest in vector shading techniques.
