    A fun game, and the inclusion of a character driven -oh ho - plot to be the right direction for the genre to go. But it’s not for anyone who is either looking for the next-generation visual thrill of its competition, or heavy realism.

    Unfortunately, Ryan comes off as an unlikable, whiney cliche. Being that this is a racing game, its ultimate success resides in the on track action, as it should.

    The story is laughably bad, and McKane has to be one of the most unlikable protagonists ever. Even worse, the racing gameplay just isn’t that exciting, largely due to lackluster handling and A.I. competition.

    Really wanted to like this but the controls just feel wrong. High speed through most corners without ever letting off the gas, then all of a sudden its too much for the car to take and you're sliding around like a greased up jabba the hutt. The physics just aren't there even for a PS2 game. I've seen much stronger graphics on this system as well. The story is an interesting idea I guess...Its worth a cheap pick up if you need a half decent racing fix but don't expect Gran Turismo 3 which came out a year EARLIER and was way better than this. I don't get the 10's but I'll keep trying to like this.… Full Review »
