    The game is not the best, but it has very good ideas and systems, I also like the evolution of the game, being that you learn combos and get skills for secrets, although the controls are a bit rough, I guess that gives you a difficulty

    Strip Prince of Persia of its tight gameplay elements and insert every pirate cliche known to man and graphics circa 1999, and you end up with Black Buccaneer. The only thing keeping this game from a 1 is the fact that it's a $20 budget title. Even then, you could probably get any of the Prince of Persia series for that price now (or less), so this game's existence is Strip Prince of Persia of its tight gameplay elements and insert every pirate cliche known to man and graphics circa 1999, and you end up with Black Buccaneer. The only thing keeping this game from a 1 is the fact that it's a $20 budget title. Even then, you could probably get any of the Prince of Persia series for that price now (or less), so this game's existence is irrelevant. Avoid at all costs.… Expand

    I really miss this, I used to play it all time as a kid, its an adventure game kind like tomb raider but with a simpler storyline and better explorarion, which is the main focus of the game, also has multiple endings which was really rare back in the day.
    I miss it so much.

    Regardless of your enthusiasm for swashbucklery, there's just no reason for this cheap attempt to cash in on Pirates of the Caribbean.

    Most of the adventure is spent exploring the ruins on a desert island while fighting monkeys and other pirates, and it’s not a terrible idea for a game it’s just so poorly executed that it’s impossible to recommend, even at a budget price.

    This title’s one saving grace is its 20 dollar price tag, but even at 20 dollars I’d still rather walk the plank then play this game.
