the goalies cant stop wraparounds unless uve scored 3 or more times doing it and half the star players are on free agents but for 20 bucks what more can u expect and why is there no goal or period sounds.

For NHL 2K6, it felt way too much like NHL 2K5, but not taking anything away from 2K6, 2K5's gameplay was pretty good with all the customizeable sliders, but the players do look ugly. Franchise Mode is still the best out of the 3, and all that good stuff. But, it felt like 2K5 with freezes fixed and stuff, but it is worth buying for 20 Bucks.

Some nice features, but expected more from it. CBC announcers are cool, since I'm from Canada, but they sound horrible.

There's no question about it, when it comes to action on the ice, Kush's game delivers a lights-out blow to EA's. This is the hockey game to get this year. [Sept 2005, p.96]

Tune and tweak all you want, Demian, and 2K6's goalies will still be absolute sieves. And for that reason - plus 06's faster play and flashier offense - I'm giving the nod to EA's game. [Oct 2005, p.114]
  3. This franchise lives and dies by its gameplay, and on that front, it does not disappoint.
