While EA will probably never make another Mutant League game of any sort, NFL Street 3 ensures that the game of football can still be irreverent and entertaining at the same time.
-
With its stylish visuals, some rocking sounds, and a solid control scheme to all compliment the frenzied gameplay, you should enjoy the core of the game.
-
The new Gamebreaker moves are out of this world. For the die-hard, obsess-bordering fans like myself, that’s all the series needs (at this point). I’m hooked.
-
The inclusion of new game types helps players who’ve outgrown the older street events, and removing Gamebreakers from the cutscene format is a definite improvement for in-game strategy.
-
PSM MagazineThe third in the series has plenty of upgrades, but none are more evolved than the new Gamebreaker system. [Holiday 2006, p.78]
-
NFL Street 3 plays a fine game of street football. It’s the kind of game that you can get a casual gamer into in a few minutes, compared even to other casual games like the Madden series.
-
Sure, they could have done more with the two-year development cycle since the last release, but the game is worth a look for fans of the series and rookies alike.
-
Pure Magazine UKA good game that should improve the more you play, as more moves come out of the closet. [Mar 2007, p.73]
-
PSM3 Magazine UKOnce you're over the cosmetic gloss, you might wander back to Madden for your gridiron fix, especially if you own one of the older "NFL Streets." Worth a look, however. [Mar 2007, p.77]
-
Pelit (Finland)For the most parts an entertaining street football experience. The gamebreaker meter and environmental objects add freshness to the gameplay. There is a lot to do, but the lack of variation is a definite problem. [Mar 2007]
