  1. The addition of funny commentary and extremely exaggerated wrestling moves with a solid and fun football game has definitely been worth it to me.
  2. Madden, Sega, and Fever fanboys need not apply. Blitz is Blitz! And it is fun.
  3. Works out many of the kinks found in last year's game and gets the series back on track.
  4. Works out many of the kinks found in last year's game and gets the series back on track.
  5. There’s no other arcade sports title that comes even close to matching the fun a 2-4 player Blitz match can deliver.

Midway's pure arcade game is goofy, off the wall, and one of the most addicting arcade games on the planet. But make sure to note it's not a sim.
  7. With no online mode, and a limited set of additions, there isn't much of a difference here when compared to Blitz 20-02.
  8. Electronic Gaming Monthly
    72
Improvements over last year's (extremely late) version of Blitz are minimal. [Nov 2002, p.298]
  9. 71
It's the weakest of all three versions of the game, but it still manages to provide Blitz fans with what they crave.
  10. Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
    70
I like my sequels with a little more pizzazz. [Sept 2002, p.115]
  11. PSM Magazine
    70
Nothing much has changed from the last version. [Sept 2002, p.26]
  12. The problem here is Blitz is a lot like Jerry Springer: if you’ve seen one episode, you’ve seen them all. This year’s edition does little to dispel that theory, since it comes with only a handful of new features, none of which include online play.

A pleasant surprise last year, but the newest version offers little in the way of enhancements...Plays smooth and fast, perfect for a quick dose of action here or there. [Sept 2002, p.51]
  14. Game Informer

I suggest Midway go back to the drawing board and mix realism with its brutal attitude, similar to what it did with "RedCard Soccer." [Oct 2002, p.84]
  15. NFL Blitz 20-03 is a near carbon copy of 20-02, no two ways about it. If you like Blitz gameplay, you'll find it here...but the lack of innovation is startling.

If you like real football this isn't the game for you. if you like a lot of hitting it is definitely for you. There is no trades on it.If you like real football this isn't the game for you. if you like a lot of hitting it is definitely for you. There is no trades on it. Thats the bad thing about it.
