The game just has a smooth, arcade flow that I really appreciate. The action's fast paced, it's really easy to score, but at the same time, the defense is smart enough to pick off bad passes and swat horrible shots.
-
It plays well, and for a PS2 game it shows a lot of firepower. SCEA is doing something different with the genre, and that is always refreshing. It’s not the best looking or sounding game, but the solid gameplay and entertaining story mode make it worth the time of any fan of the genre.
-
The presentation is excellent, and the gameplay is as addictive as ever. Those looking at picking this game up for its new features may want to give that some thought seeing as The Life mode, seemingly the games key selling feature, adds no value to the title whatsoever.
-
Game InformerOf course, it's better than last year, but it still has a ways to go before it supplants The Life as the reason to get this game. [Nov. 2006, p.134]
