GMR MagazineA totally new game. Unfortunately, it lacks the depth of the other games here, and therefore won't satisfy hardcore baseball fans. [Apr 2003, p.64]

If you can get past some of MVPs fielding glitches, and appreciate this offensive driven baseball title, then you will be in for a delightful surprise this season.

The fielding still needs some work, animation could use a bit more variety, and there should be more extensive modes and features, such as an ability to tweak computer AI so players can fine-tune problem areas. This game is a definite hit, but its a few yards short of a home run.
