Excellent game let down by a number of flaws. Lack of avaialability of lap times- one blink and they're gone. In two player mode, the replay focuses on the bike which finishes first - no good if you finish second.

The best SIMULATION on PS2 so far. Very addictive and perfect playability.

This is a cd based racing bike game with an arcade like feel. It is a clear upgrade over ps1 however it's still a fairly new release for the ps2 console. While it does nothing wrong it is still quite rudimentary as far as gameplay goes and a new player to this series should feel quite at ease quite early.

The ironic thing is that Namco has removed the pictures of the riders during the races - that's a feature I used to like! [Feb 2002, p.82]
  2. Features more changes and enhancements to the original game than most annual sports games from EA or Sega do, and the bottom line is that MotoGP 2 is a great addition for racing fans who missed the original MotoGP.

The real key to MotoGP2 enjoyment comes from the bike physics.
