  1. The game is fun, consistent, accurate and is, in every way, baseball. Over the course of nine innings and several seasons, it's clear that Konami knows baseball better than any other developer.
  2. 85
A kiddie-styled import that comes out of left field all the way from the Far East and topples the perennial powers.
  3. MLB Power Pros' greatest asset is the presentation. No nonsense and adorably charming, the game suckers you in with what seems to be a simple little game of Baseball Lite, but the deeper you plug into it, the more you realize just how much time and effort was put into making the game appear simple.
  4. Despite its simplistic characters and repetitive announcer, the game offers content galore with its near countless modes and fun gameplay.
  5. 80
An excellent alternative to the other baseball games on the market, especially friendly to those who aren't very keen on sports but who may enjoy the strategic options that the game offers up.
  6. Keep expectations a bit on the lower side in regards to graphics or a ‘career’ mode, and you will enjoy this outing at the ol’ ball field.
  7. This game is a new twist on baseball. Neat in theory, but I'm not sure that cosmetic or game play changes will do much for a genre that is so well established.

If I remember correctly they had like a college RPG road to the show game mode which you played for tournaments battle for your position etc. Then after finishing that It would allow you to basically have a MyCareer in the MLB/AAA/AA/A ! You mainly talk to your agent and practice on your attributes but in 2008 having 2 different career modes intertwined was awesome !! It goes from like an RPG which you build on your players skills and attributes but get different bonuses and effects based on choices the game gives you! Also had a franchise mode practice mode and If I remember there was a GM franchise mode that was kind of RPG’y nothing crazy but still neat and deep for a 2008 baseball game! I tbink this game especially when playing on the highest difficulty is a easy to pick up but hard to master game but is a very satisfying game once you start getting better and better ! I recommend it to all baseball video gamers out there ! Expand

It may not seem like it at first glance, but this is one of the best, if not THE best, baseball games ever. The gameplay is simple yet deep. It may not seem like it at first glance, but this is one of the best, if not THE best, baseball games ever. The gameplay is simple yet deep. The "success" mode is supposed to be great, but I'm having too much fun playing 2 players games. I hope a sequel comes out in a year or so. Expand

I love this game! Simple yet has more "realism" than the sim games. I hope 2K keeps the series going for years!
