Game InformerThe buttons can be unresponsive, and the pace is slower than it should be. On the upside, flatland tricks live up to the hype; you can string great combos together. [Sept 2002, p.80]
-
The game's shallow goal design keeps it from achieving the same level of addictiveness as games like "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3" and "Aggressive Inline."
-
Play MagazineIf you're down for another BMXer, Hoffman 3 is without a doubt the best it gets. [Oct 2002, p.85]
-
Granted the Road Trip mode can get kinda frustrating and boring, but experiencing the various levels and checking out the behind-the-scenes video footage is almost worth the aggravation.
-
The problem with the gameplay lies not in the mechanics, but rather the objectives. I literally got frustrated. I couldnt figure out what I had to do at times because the objectives were too vague.
-
A poorly implemented game idea that is by far beaten by Dave Mirras BMX game, which incidentally in its first incarnation had much more expansive levels than this game.
