The first several levels are quite easy, yet entertaining. The later levels will test your skills. I was happily surprised to find that there were a few driving levels and they were very well done. Solid game, but there are better titles out there.

Better than "Goldeneye"? NO! The graphics are nice but the game lacks the frantic speed of "Timesplitters" and the multiplayer fun of "Goldeneye." Good, but not worth your money. Rent it.

This is the first game I got on the Playstation 2, and it was VERY entertaining. But some of the first things I started to noticed was that the controls had a way of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and also, the damage values and rates of fire for the weapons were WAY off. For example, the "ps100" (FN P90 in real life) is supposed to be armor piercing, but the thing hardly This is the first game I got on the Playstation 2, and it was VERY entertaining. For example, the "ps100" (FN P90 in real life) is supposed to be armor piercing, but the thing hardly goes through glass with enough power to kill in one headshot. Also, the way the AI in the game are just plain crappy. You can walk up on someone making NO noise at all, and they yell out "ITS BOND!" and shoot at you almost instantaneously. But other than all of that negativity, the game was extremely well done in the graphics department. The story line was o.k, but it got me through the wait to get "Gran Turismo 3." Expand

Single player is somewhat entertaining, graphics are great, and the multiplayer is great fun.

This game really disappointed me. I liked NightFire much better, and I can't wait to try Everything or Nothing Good Renter!

The game is great. But it looses 3 points. one because the controls are are difficult to handle,1 because it's not as good as nightfire, and everyone (including me) is stuck on level 8.

This is a pretty game with sometimes confusing controls. There is no Pierce Brosnen or Daniel Craig here and I think that does matter a little bit. There is an auto aim going on. So, mostly you just run, stand in front of people that are shooting at you and fire back. I think the graphics and animation team did an excellent job that stands the test of time. I think the graphics and animation team did an excellent job that stands the test of time. The sound mix isn't very good at all when the guns start blazing. Everything is too loud. There are some big oversights with the gameplay. The game is on rails at times. Personally I don't think it started off very epic but it still feels like 007. For a 2001 FPS game its not bad, and its definitely better than Nightfire. The graphics and design are definitely some of the best I've seen on the PS2 and thats no small feat. But, get Everything or Nothing, which was crazy fun and challenging, instead. There are lots of James Bond Games nowadays and this one isn't the best. Its a certain type of eye-candy is where this shines with some cool camera work and animation. Expand

Mediocre Bond title doesn't quite seem like it fits in with the Bond universe and the graphics have aged far worse than even Goldeneye 64. Not a bad game in the series but certainly a forgettable Bond adventure.

Not as good as Nightfire, but still decent. Its definitely not the best fps on the PS2, but it has its moments. Driving stages are a lot of fun in this game.

Who is Andrew Bicknell? - i don't know. This is unknown skin and unknown actor of James Bond. In any case it is not good and not bad game. Because it has a primitive and modest plot

Agent Under Fire is a good, but not a great Bond game. The campaign is fun, but the controls are kind of bad. You can change them to be tolerable, but they're still not great. If you can find this game for cheap, you might want to try it out because the multiplayer is fun.

The first Bond game for PS2 is nowhere as good as "Goldeneye". But it's a lot better than "Tomorrow Never Dies". Along with first-person shooting, there are rail segments, driving levels and stealth moments. You can also discover hidden rooms, trigger "Bond" moments and earn unlockable content. Sadly, the weird control layout doesn't feel very intuitive. But if you loved "Timesplitters",The first Bond game for PS2 is nowhere as good as "Goldeneye". Agent under fire is a good all be it not great attempt at capturing the magic of golden eye but this is a really enjoyable game none the less.

Story: Now i really enjoyed the story of agent under fire its charmingly campy. it has that almost self parody feel to it like the older roger moore films had to them. but more like the man with a golden gun and not a view to a kill. all the characters are acted so over the top its great even if characterization is kept to a minimum. it still feels suave and sexy but also campy and silly witch is a good feel to an action spy game , not a perfect story but one befitting the games tone and franchise history.
    Story: 7/10

world building: james bond is a weird series for this kind of thing because in the films they seem to all not be linked by anything besides what actors were in what movies . and its generally thought of as each actor as a different continuity. but for this game its not an actor or none of the actors likenesses so to me its on a continuity of its own , and so there is not much to work with but what is there works with the story and so its serviceable at the very least
    world building: 4/10

Graphics: running on the ps2 this game performed surprisingly well for me other than a few frame drops when fighting bosses it was constant 30 fps all the way through and that really helps when you are playing an action game, the character designs all look really good and have actual animated facial features witch was pretty new for the time. the guns look good and you are able to tell witch gun is really witch from real life even if they have different names to avoid copyrights . there is a lot of partical effects for its time , witch when fighting bosses i think was the cause of the frame drops , especially with the helicopter bosses. i think agent under fire has a good visual style for it and boasts some pretty decent tech for the time witch makes for some pretty decent early 2000s graphics
    Graphics: 7/10

Game play: games AI is pretty stationary and wooden but over all enemy placement was good. and the AI was smart enough for the times. most of the hand guns felt fun to use but the automatic guns felt like bb guns and it dose fit the campy style of the game it just feels lame to use. There is enough gadgets and multiple ways to go through a level to vary game play up a bit and that's always a plus you actually use your cool gadgets in creative ways like bond dose in the movies. the multiplayer is fun , or would be if i had friends to play it with Haha.
    Gameplay: 7/10

sound design: this game is a weird and campy game and i think the sound design reflects that . the handguns sounds are over amplified to give them that same action movie pop , and the automatics all though silly sounding do make you feel like an 80s action hero doing spray and pray with reckless abandon, even the sound effects from helicopter blades to the grenades bouncing of things are all uped in the camp element higher and it dose the game justice.
    sound design: 8/10

    33/5=6.6 and 6.6 round up to 7.

Agent underfire is a good early 2000s fps for console and i enjoyed replaying it after all those years its been since iv played it. and has lots of fun elements with a good style the game has aged fairly well witch is why i give james bond 007: agent under fire 6.6/10 (7/10)

[Games Radar Rating = Hit] Although it isn't as revolutionary as GoldenEye once was, the deft changes of pace mean it's undoubtedly the most Bond-like game ever. It might not leave you shaken, but it's certainly stirring.
  2. It’s just a shame that the game is too easy, a little more time perfecting the enemy AI and level design would have seen this scored much highly, but in the end this is a good game for action fans and those wanting their next Bond fix.
  3. Slick, sexy and jam-packed with action — but this adventure is short with limited playability over time, except perhaps for its multiplayer modes.
