In the end Jackass: The Game fails to capture what made the show so funny, and this is not for a lack of effort. It does feel like they tried to turn it into a legitimate title, but this is just not an ideal show to do it with.
-
Jackass fans, take the $30 you would have spent on this and buy Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 instead. Just pretend the title screen says Jackass Skateboarding and you’ll never know the difference. It’ll certainly be a lot more fun than this piece of garbage.
-
The game - or string of small games connected only through common characters - is only worth dabbling in for the humor and bourgeois rock and roll attitude of it all.
-
Like the show itself, Jackass: The Game is something best experienced when extremely drunk, extremely bored, or, ideally, both. But don't go getting the idea that you'll enjoy it with friends.
-
Though on the surface Jackass looks like it has strong replay value, the content is as shallow as Steve-O’s take on world peace. Players will breeze through the story mode within a day, and the challenge mode simply offers the same events with slightly higher score requirements.
