Que lindo era volver del colegio, comer unos sambuches de jamon y queso, prender la play 2 y jugar esta joya, lindos recuerdos

Simple arcade racing game (your cap). Its funny, but not enough for longplay

This game includes many exciting race tracks, a surprising amount of sweet vehicle options, with only one complaint being the tough steering on the hot wheels sometimes, but other than that this game is loads of fast fun.

There is a reason why after 12 years I'm coming back to write a review on this game. This game perfectly captures what went through our young little minds while we were playing with the Hot Wheels toys.
And to make things better, it plays really well as well. After all these years I haven't found another game that feels and plays as well as this one. And trust me, I have been searching

I think it's clear to me that this game was made with some love. The tracks are designed in such a fun way thematically, and the soundtrack really ties it all together. Dino, Spider and Pirate tournaments are easily the best ones out of the bunch, however, Lava, the last tournament, does feel a bit more generic and uninspired in comparison, just more of the same things with a slight different coat of paint, which is a shame as it should've been the 'climax' of the tournaments.
The sense of speed is also satisfactory (greater than some other HW titles on the PS2). The car selection is also good, it's got some iconic HW cars of the era.
It's a short game, can be finished in around 2-3 hours at most, but that works on its favor. It's a short, sweet experience; can get a little repetitive, though.

  1. When you factor in how little this game really differs from any of the last few games in the line, there's really no good reason to go out and buy it.
  2. The length may be meager by other raging game standards, but what's here packs enough of a wallop to entertain even adults for a while.

Slam it in reverse unless you're entertained by rolling quarters across a sunlit floor.
