Once you figure out the intricacies of how to properly drive your horse, when to release the bit, when to pull out the whip, etc., you'll be smitten. And while your friends may not understand your attraction to a "horse racing game", you'll be the wiser.

The races are slow and one mistake can mean the difference between first and last, but that’s the addiction, and whipping your horse to a slight, nosed victory is a mighty satisfying feeling.

With a little more pizzazz added to its robust simulation mode (dopey translated dialogue notwithstanding), the presentation of G1 Jockey 3 would have placed it on par with Tecmo’s horse sim.
