You also don't feel particularly bloodthirsty when you've got this bouncy music playing in the background. The music just isn't that good in general. It's dull and repetitive...Aside from some gripes here and there, FF:VR is a well done adventure game.

The characters and objects have that distinctive cartoon look which is superb.
  3. Provides enough of a rush to deal with the fact that the game tends to get a little monotonous.
  4. If you can make it past the cuddliness, there is some good napalm throwing fun to be had.
  5. While games like "Red Faction" offer a more polished and engaging experience, Fur Fighters holds its own with a quirky, refreshing style.

Though plagued by a number of problems, not least the average nature of the gameplay, Fur Fighters on PS2 does attempt to invest some new life into the game and does better last year''s Dreamcast original. If you want to play last year’s games today, then you can do no better than Fur Fighters.
  7. The graphics, however, are the game's strongest suit. Viggo's Revenge sports the same cartoony characters and environments as the DC version, but they have been a tad improved thanks to cell shading technology.

The frustrating part is it’s out and out lack of a configurable control set up, a feature that would have been so easy to implement, and would have improved this game ten fold.
  9. Starts out with a bang, but then quickly falls to a whimper -- that whimper being the controls. Never in all my life would I have thought it possible to make a game that is so impossible to control with any degree of efficiency.
  10. Still has its brand of goofy appeal; there’s nothing quite like the sight of stuffed animals pumping each other full of lead...Hardcore FPS fans and platform purists should stay away.

There’s nothing I hate more than lukewarm games, except maybe lukewarm spin-offs of lukewarm games. [Aug 2001, p.111]
  12. It's dissapointing that the characters weren't more varied in capabilities.
  13. Has its share of problems. It is entertaining for a brief spell, though. I mean, who can resist cute, cuddly stuffed animals blowing the tops off their evil counterparts?

While Viggo's Revenge is cute in its cartoonish, cell-shaded way, it's crippled by moderate to terrible problems with its camera and control.
  15. Not many people will be entertained enough to see the game through to the end, mainly because the bad control will cause you to snap your controller in two.

This is a fun third person shooter with a beautiful comic look and lots of good ideas. For fans of 3D-action adventure games. Overall rating: 7.9.
