Daily RadarIt doesn't have the best graphics out there, but frankly, it has everything else in spades.
-
A decent and somewhat playable PS2 F1 game, but not one I would recommend to people who take their racing games very seriously, especially given the very limited feature set of the first release, the overly arcade-style physics model, and the poorly modeled AI.
-
May not be the deepest game in terms of overall features, but it still has enough inherent playability to warrant the attention of both veteran and casual game players alike.
-
There isn't much replay value, and not much else to make F1CS2000 stand out as a racing game.
-
Has everything an F1 fan could desire. But for experts it may be a little too easy, and for outsiders it's just not as fun as some of the other racing games out there.
-
A relatively solid, if unspectacular, first effort for the F1 Championship series on the PS2 that plays pretty realistically. On the other hand, there's nothing here that a casual racing fan would find immediately compelling.
-
With solid multiplayer, a deep rich customizable single player experience and true next generation graphics, EA Sports first PS2 F1 game succeeds in many areas.
-
F1 sports some of the worst AI imaginable. The AI in a racing game usually drives very well on the track, at a good speed, making slow turns, and staying on a set line on the road. None of that happens in F1.
-
While the graphics hold up their end, the gameplay just isn't there for simulation fans to keep them satisfied for the long haul.
-
CNET GamecenterBy no means a bad game, but it's going to require a lot more than a quick tune-up and lube job if it ever wishes to turn the corner and become a great PS2 racing game.

Games RadarSomething we were actually outraged by was the fact that that in two-player mode there are no AI cars at all.
