JohnS.Jan 9, 2004Great game for kids & adults. Easy gameplay for kids, & tougher objectives for the "Big Kids."

BobtheBuilderFeb 6, 2004This game is really fun to play. The levels and characters are well thought out and kid friendly. The people that say this game is stupid, that is nonsense. I play this game all the time!

JimJ.Oct 13, 2003Well-designed and highly-entertaining. A fun skating game with great animations and big levels. Hawk fans, especially younger ones, will have a great time playing.

Jan 18, 2011Not as good as Tony Hawk or all them but for little kids, this game stands out.

Mar 4, 2012This is one of the best games I've seen on the PS2. It combines EXTREMELY easy gameplay for younger kids, and adds challenges and tough tricks for older kids and adults. This is quite possibly the best family game out there that I have seen, so get it today.

Mar 9, 2019From the perspective of someone who has never played a Tony Hawk game, I believe this is a pretty excellent game all around. It is probably my second favorite game in my PS2 library. However, it did cause me to enjoy Ska music, so if you're the sort of person who wants to tightly control the musical tastes of your kids, you may want to avoid getting them this one.

Feb 2, 2023Ah my childhood. Played the hell out of this game as a kid. The levels are great, the characters are great (of course), the gameplay is great (should be, being made with the Tony Hawk engine) and the soundtrack, BRO. That music was amazing as a kid and is still amazing to this day. I replayed this game not too long ago, it's still great to me and still a fun time.

What this all boils down to is a solid and intuitively controlled skating game that is optimized for younger players but also quite fun for fans of the Tony Hawk series.

GMR MagazineThe only knock on the game might be its difficulty. It's a hard world, after all, but the game's target audience (children) might find DESA too tough to master. [Oct 2003, p.70]

Much like the wholesome Kix breakfast cereal, Disneys Extreme Skate Adventure has seemingly been "kid-tested, mother-approved" for quality. Its not just kid stuff, mind you.
