Ratatouille is a delicious slice of platforming goodness that has exceeded all expectations and sets a new benchmark for game conversions of children's films.
  2. Ratatouille does a lot of things right.
  3. Rent it for quick fun; buy it for the lasting replay value.
  4. Ratatouille’s defied our expectations by dishing out a solid adventure with loads of extras and minigames. If the missions felt a little less repetitive, then we’d really have film-tie in greatness here. Either way, this is one game adaptation that’s easy to swallow.

While the levels themselves vary greatly in design, the texture work is unanimously blurry, which is the biggest disappointment.
  6. Ratatouille is a sufficient, if unfulfilling, platformer.

Perfectly acceptable but largely uninspiring portion or generic platforming. [Dec 2007, p.99]
  8. You've seen this before and you will see it again. Just wait until the next big kids movie comes out.
  9. Pretty uninspiring stuff, but I guess if you’re a parent looking for a (relatively) harmless game to pick up for a small child it might do the trick. I’d like to think your kids deserve better.

The game is worth a buy. Full Review »

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Ratatouille for the PlayStation 2 does things very correctly, but there are some wrong things in the content from the game. The minigames are a bit boring and too simple but the minigames from the story mode for example; The cooking minigame, from the "little chief kitchen" level represented the game to correct itself to the movie in order the game to make sense but more content from the game that didn't make it to the movie like extra NPC characters and the market level that didn't made it into the movie but came from the concept art from the movie. The platforming is a bit simple but enjoyable including the dream worlds that are very creative with additional platforming with food objects from Remy's dream. This game is recommended because its enjoyable and make the story make a little sense but with a lot of content to what the movie doesn't have. Full Review »
