Cheat Code CentralIf you liked the movie, you will in all likelihood enjoy the game... You can think of Finding Nemo as "Ecco the Dolphin" Light.
-
It's colorful and good looking, provides a good healthy level of anti-stupid puzzles and gameplay techniques and it's funny and enjoyable to boot.
-
The movie sequences are an excellent addition -- there are more sequences here than in the game based on Toy Story 2.
-
Game InformerThe target audience is children, but only for the young tykes out there who are new to the gaming scene. The pacing is just way too slow to appease anyone else. [July 2003, p.107]
-
Fans of the film will enjoy interacting with the lovable characters and playing through the movie-inspired sequences, but those diligent enough to go through and complete every objective will probably come away from the game feeling a little disappointed.
-
Official U.S. Playstation MagazineIt's pretty shocking to see how well Finding Nemo's story and settings translate into a game. [Aug 2003, p.99]
-
Very plain and ordinary, and without the Nemo license there wouldn't be much reason to actually own it.
-
It might take place underwater and feature fish instead of flesh-and-bone characters (or furry one’s like “Monster Inc.’s” Sully), but gameplay in THQ’s first Disney Interactive title is as cookie cutter as the mold used by Traveller’s Tales to fulfill its contractual obligations.
-
As an animated movie tie-in, we've come away genuinely impressed at the overall standard on offer.
-
Too many movie clips and too little gameplay.
-
The game seems geared towards the under 12 crowd, but despite the simplistic controls and goals, Finding Nemo can be a touch hard too quickly in specific areas, such as navigating through the pipe currents or the sliding block puzzles.
-
TotalGames.netFor a kids game it can suddenly leap from being simpler than tying your shoes to being tougher than tying your shoes - if you're a fish.
