Survives its transition from PC to PS2 with its gameplay depth and well-acted voices intact, but with its graphics severely chopped and its control scheme compromised by the Dual Shock 2 button layout.
-
A one-of-a-kind video game experience. Just don't expect a pretty one.
-
The biggest thing I felt was missing was the all-important fun factor.
-
With a lot to live up to from its PC predecessor, the port sadly falls flat leaving a game that could’ve been better.
-
I don't offer a thorough condemnation of the console port, but if you do play it, you're missing out.
-
Play MagazineCreaks with age. But there's still enough juice in these solid veins – the game looks, plays, and sounds just good enough. [June 2002, p.63]
-
A slightly lacklustre port of a great game that you should play, but we would only recommend the PS2 version if there is no way you can get your hands on the PC edition of the game.
