A great game controlling a classic alien from movies and what not, you get to do pretty much everything you've ever wanted to do as an alien. With a decent storyline for a game like this, it's a great pickup from '05. You'll be facing everything the human race can throw at you, military, even the Majestic 12! I highly recommend it if you're into alien games with humour. And when you've completed the game, you can always go back to the "zone/maps" and replay them as much as you want. Excellent game if you love replay games. Expand

A really fun and unique idea at the time. Destroy all Humans just was a ton of fun with some really great characters. Crypto is basically Jack Nicolson playing a sadistic little alien that isn't that bright.

Crypto is just a riot. Everything and anything he says just cracks me up. However the game is not flawless. For all the good there is also bad. Controls are a little weird at

However the game is not flawless. For all the good there is also bad. Controls are a little weird at time and the possession mechanic a bit too strict. For a game that requires you to hide and remain out of sight, it really has poor stealth mechanics. Gameplay on the whole is rather bland and feels like a dumbed down version of GTA.

Saucer mode is Awesome! A shame it could not of been utilized better.

    Overall:
Destroy all humans, as the first game in the series, is a great game. Deeply flawed as you can see the developers are still getting their bearings, but this can be overlooked as it has a funny story and some truly memorable and well written characters.

A dull, but undeniably unique sci-fi shooter for the PS2. Pros: Hilarious; varied stages to play through and lots of weapons to play with. Cons: After awhile, it's frustratingly repetitive; overall, visually unimpressive.

I like the game! I just like how you could come home from school and release your anger on the people.! I just wish it came in eyetoy version to put teachers faces in in the people faces. I also like the graphics.

Totally kickass game. Campy fun anyone can enjoy. Lots of B-movie references, great lighting, lots of weapons, free run of towns and environments. It's like playing Mars Attacks the video game. A good buy and a great rental.

I think this game has a very interesting concept and I love that they incorporate comedy into it as well. More upgrades would have been better for the Saucer or more guns on Crypto. There are only 5 enemy classes which isn't bad just could have been more. The other thing im critical about is the anal probe. Part of what is missing in this game is the lack of variety with the story missions; more or less it's the same in what you do, but it's not so repetitive that you feel like you're grinding away. With the open worlds in this game, it gives you plenty of replay value. It's a solid, fun game all-around, but it does have flaws.

The game does not hold up well at all today. Extremely repetitive. Have to grind for hours to get all upgrades. Air controls are terrible and floaty. Very limited visibility in the ship. Still a great campy self aware story but everything else in this game hold it back from being amazing. Hoping the remake is going to be great.

This game is honestly so much fun. You play as Crypto, a snarky alien clone on a mission to destroy humanity, find out what happened to his previous clone, and generally be a jerk to everyone. Tossing people around with telekinesis, destroying buildings with UFOs, and harvesting brains are some of what you will do in this open-world alien sandbox set in 1920's USA. I will say, though, that the game lays it a BIT thick on the satire front, but it's hardly unbearable. It's kind of like Grand Theft Auto, but instead of the NPCs being all a-holes, they're all idiots.

One actual complaint: the mechanic regarding the Majestic agents (that you can't maintain a disguise around them) is exceedingly unbearable. I know it shows you glowing red when you get close to them, but I rarely have time to react by the time I do. Maybe it's just me, but this can get very, very annoying in the later levels.

All in all, though, a wonderfully fun game to play if you're in an evil mood.

One last thing, though: If you read minds a lot to refill your psychic power (like I do), you'll get spoiled on a certain trait of the final boss that, somehow, Crypto still gets shocked by. C'mon, man, pay attention.

Destroy All Humans! is a successful mix of 3d-action, free roaming game play, conspiracy theories and sci-fi silliness. It has no apparent flaws but there’s still something missing from the mission design and the game as a whole. It promises a bit more than it manages to deliver. [June 2005, p.64]
