There is a fairly eclectic gathering of music (at least as far as DDRs go) though the collection may not suit your tastes. For new players looking to get into DDR, you may as well start with the latest edition.

SuperNOVA is mostly more of the same, but a decent array of modes and a list of new songs help keep the experience feeling reasonably fresh.

If you're not a serious DDR fan, then playing any one of the games in the series means you've basically played them all. Still, SuperNOVA is a riot to play against live competitors, and makes a perfect entry point for series newcomers and a must play for any fan.

Enhancements abound, but most will fail to grab the attention of diehard fans or those who never bothered with the series. The coolest addition, Stellar Master Mode, adds some depth and variety, but it would have been nice to see it as part of a family of new modes.

Basically, Dance Dance Revolution: Supernova is primarily a party game and if you use it in that capacity, I’m sure it will be money well spent. The addition of a robust single player experience also adds a new dimension to the DDR series.

DDR SuperNOVA is the most solid iteration in the series to date, and with all the new modes, tunes, EyeToy support and improved graphics, it's a must buy for hardcore fans of this series as well as new players looking to give the game a run for the money.

While this remains a great multiplayer, social game for some people, and it's certainly a good way to work up a sweat, at heart it's still an eight year old game with remarkably little alteration from the original.
