An enjoyable game with lots to do and unlock that is sure to keep you occupied until "Gran Turismo 4" arrives.
  2. If you’re looking for a new racing game on your PS2 and only have $10, give Corvette a try, it won’t disappoint you. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with it, and you will surely get what you pay for.
  3. It’s slightly above average in almost every aspect and matches that with a low low price.
  4. Fairly easy controls that actually respond differently between the different corvette models AND when upgrades are done on the cars. An easy to use setup that racing fans will feel very familiar with.
  5. If you love Corvettes, check this game out, you can't lose. If you don't then pass this title on by. The bottom line is that Corvette is a mediocre racing game with a great price.

    It's not a gamer's game, it's a Corvette fan club member's game. [June 2004, p.96]
  7. The main problem with the game is also one of its strengths. The fact that it has only Corvette cars will definitely turn people off the game, but also attract a niche market of those who can't get enough one of the most famous American muscle cars.

While you can drive almost every Corvette made, the game doesn't feel realistic enough to give the impression that you're behind the wheel of one.
  9. While Corvette may not be particularly innovative, the gameplay isn’t bad, though it lacks bells and whistles. Corvette fans are going to get a nice toy for their ten bucks.

Would you bother with a substandard title when you can purchase something like "Gran Turismo" or "Hot Pursuit 2" for a scant few dollars more? No, you wouldn't bother, which is good because you shouldn't bother.
  11. Overall, this game was pretty bad, and I did not enjoy it. It was a nice concept to have a game completely devoted to Corvettes, but the game physics need to be fixed.
  12. It's a shame that the developer couldn't also license some fun gameplay to go along with the Corvette name. [June 2004, p.129]

Just like in real life, the Corvettes on display possess wicked oversteer and, adding insult to injury, grace some of the most lackluster course designs I've ever traversed while good-'ol-boy rock and swanky sax music crackles in the background. [June 2004, p.61]
  14. Simply a bad racing game. The only good thing about it is the price but you can find many more quality games in the same price range.

It's hard to imagine that Corvette, though it's priced to compete with a case of Bud, will be able to satisfy. There are much more competitive racers that also feature the fabled 'vette, along with decent physics, AI, and play modes.

It's fun to races and the corvettes are cool looking cars. Not to mention it was only 10 dollars when it came out and is worth pocket change today. Great little racing game with lots of love put into the cars, does not deserve all the hate it got from here. Full Review »

It works and does nothing bad or good. I don't see much difference between car performances or tracks. The entire game is really quite generic and I guess the main draw is being able to pick out any corvette you want to play between 1952 and 2003 although this was not a draw for me whatsoever. The best thing about this game is it is works with a steering wheel ad drives quite easily with its. The bad is there is no feel to the ground and whether you are on pavement or made it off-road into grass it feels the same. You do not fishtail like most other games if you have poor control, and there is no penalty for damage except for your time in the race obviously will be longer. Overall an uninspired game apart from a catalog of corvettes to choose from that you can unlock different colours too. A 6/10 seems generous to be honest but I rate games based on content and performance mostly and there is a game here that works although it's not highly entertaining or addictive. Full Review »

I played this game for 5 minutes and gave up. That's it, I can't imagine I wasted my time playing this garbage.

When I reviewed this (Don't bother looking for it) on YouTube, you could hear in my voice that I was angry at a game so unfair. The driving mechanisms are slow and unresponsive, the graphics are weird, and the points are pointless.

You just go into any game mode, it doesn't really matter which because there is no difference in the end, and choose a corvette (depending on the game mode, there may be only one type). The way the menus are set up are so complex and confusing. You'll just end up doing something you didn't expect.

There is no story, just races accessible from the menu, all you do is race, THAT'S IT. The races are really easy if you're fast enough and don't mess up. Otherwise, the other racers are much faster, you'll never catch up.

Turning is a really burden, it both slows you down tremendously and risks you crashing into something. To all of you out there you might be thinking that I'm exaggerating, well crashing into things is really bad because of this little flaw: Reverse is Triangle, TRIANGLE. Since when does a racing game use TRIANGLE as Reverse? It's ALWAYS SQUARE, but no, they MESSED IT UP!!!

Anyway, if you want to play a good racing game get something like Need for Speed or Midnight CLub, don't waist $5 on Corvette.
