Cheat Code CentralIt's more frustrating than challenging and it certainly isn't a whole lot of fun for any player of any age.
-
If you don't already have an established love for Takara's customizable line of toy cars, you'll find that ChoroQ has little in the way of redeeming qualities.
-
Youll have to dig through hours of babying and layers of silliness, strangeness, and awkward dialogue to get to the good stuff.
-
A mundane experience that is probably best forgotten. If, however, you’re still curious, consider a rental first, and see if you like it.
-
No matter what extras that are packed into a game, if the very fundamentals are as marred as they are here in this game, the title itself is impaired. ChoroQ could have been great is the racing itself were not so inadequate.
-
ChoroQ has the dumbest racing system ever. Pole Position on the Atari was a better planned racer. ChoroQ starts off painfully slow (like walking); then, with the help of all the car upgrades and stuff, you eventually get up to golf cart speed, which is where the game really picks up.

Electronic Gaming MonthlyWhile the fanciful racetracks are cute, they don't redeem the atrocious racing and so-bad-it's-good-oh-wait-it's-just-bad dialogue. [Dec 2004, p.170]
