  1. Backyard Baseball does a great job of sustaining the pure addictive fun that is baseball without sacrificing its humor or little league appeal. At times I wish the game kept true to the rules of the game or kept some semblance of reality, but then again it’s the fantasy that keeps this one from getting boring.

The control flat-out sucks. I had a rough time moving my fielders, and I can't imagine a chid who has yet to add a second digit to his age faring any better. [June 2004, p.95]

Though the graphics are pretty bad, the game will still keep you from getting bored.

    The gameplay is terrible.
