If you are a fan of the show, and I mean a very large fan, then you owe it to yourself to check out this amazingly funny diversion.
-
Unless you've got a bunch of ATHF fans over and some way to get altered, the game really is an utter waste of time. It can be a hilarious waste of time (Meatwad's caddy pep talk was brilliant), but a waste none the less.
-
Not half as bad, apparently, as the new "Simpsons Game."
-
Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am will put you through four hours of gameplay, and the end result is a few amusing moments, but a whole lot more frustrating ones. Honestly, the material here would have made a better episode rather than game.
-
It's a surprisingly silent, boring affair, and you're probably better off just watching the ATHF clips with your pal, or one of the four full episodes included on the disc (one of which has never been aired, and is awesome).
-
Zombie Ninja Pro Am offers both bad graphics and gameplay, but it revels in its shoddy qualities as if to say, "Hell yes, we're bad. We're super bad!"
-
Fans might be able to eke some pleasure from this game despite the overwhelming flaws. Anyone else likely won’t be able to see past the repetitive, irritating gameplay, frustrating camera, and broken controls.
-
This pile-on of additional content, combined with a $30 price, makes Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am a surprisingly good value if, and only if, you enjoy the show.
-
The glaring use of 8-bit menus and what seems to be very low effort produce a game with any depth or redeeming qualities.
-
If you love the antics of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, consider yourself warned -- Zombie Ninja Pro-Am is a bland affair. You get a subpar (no pun intended) golf game, a lame cart-racing game and heaping amounts of monotonous combat.
-
My take-home message is this: do NOT buy this game if you aren't a big fan of the show. There is absolutely nothing here for you. If you do enjoy the show, still do NOT buy it. Rent it for the few hours it takes to experience the game and watch the included episodes, then don't think about it ever again.
-
And to finish it off, this game is just awful. That’s a shame, really, since I had hoped it would turn out acceptable.
-
I'll make this easy for you: The controls are crummy, the graphics are terrible, the humor mostly falls flat, there aren't very many levels, the mini-games get in the way of the outdated golf mechanics and it's absolutely no fun to play.
-
Just because a game seemingly aims to be bad on purpose doesn't make it any less of a bad game.
-
We struggled to find the punch line in this abomination of half-assed execution and complete disregard for modern gameplay innovations.
-
You're better off just buying an ATHF DVD if you want to watch episodes at home. At least they don't come with a game.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Even diehard fans of the Adult Swim cartoon will have an extremely hard time jjustifying a $30 novelty purchase, because that's the best this game could hope to be. [Jan 2008, p.86]
-
While some games sell the cheese-factor and are still fun, Zombie Ninja Pro-Am is just plain bad with nothing at all to counterbalance all the negatives.
-
Like a near-death experience, bad games can provide us with a vision of the other side, a gamer’s hell filled with E.T. games and 3DOs. A bad game serves to reminds us why good games are so good, and they cleanse the palette and bring us back to the zero-point of solid game development. If you haven’t guessed already, Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am is one of those terrible, terrible games.
