Endangered species, elevated paths, tours, and more of everything pretty much sums up this expansion.
-
Easy to get into and not overly complicated.
-
Don’t look to the expansion to add anything new to the game that will get you very excited unless you’re completely in dire need of more animals.
-
There are some good additions, but stuff that I would have expected to be added on top of a different major theme. I guess when it comes to zoos, it's a little harder to find new topics for great expansions.
-
If you enjoy squandering time away on the original title, you're bound to find more joy and excitement from the additional animals and buildings included in this expansion.
-
This expansion does not add enough to the game to make it recommendable to those who are no already diehard fans of Zoo Tycoon 2.
-
Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species adds a lot of items but not enough to the game itself. However, it's a good option for those fascinated by exotic animals and/or loved the original concept.

PC GamerDelivers the bare minimum for an expansion pack. [Jan 2005, p.71]
-
If you spent weeks building the perfect parks, unlocking new content, and wandering around as a guest [in the original], you'll get a little more mileage out of this expansion, but even then, you might find it a little skimpy.
