Artistic, responsive, knock-down difficult, and with a great soundtrack to boot, Zenzizenzic channels the toughest bullet-hell homebrews such as Vulkanon in its minimalistic visual design and maximalistic level, enemy, and bullet pattern design. Don't be fooled by the game having "five levels" in its arcade-ish mode - those levels are gigantic and tough, and the Macro mode is even crazierArtistic, responsive, knock-down difficult, and with a great soundtrack to boot, Zenzizenzic channels the toughest bullet-hell homebrews such as Vulkanon in its minimalistic visual design and maximalistic level, enemy, and bullet pattern design. Don't be fooled by the game having "five levels" in its arcade-ish mode - those levels are gigantic and tough, and the Macro mode is even crazier and infinite, given the random nature of roguelikes. With a striking yet simple presentation, Zenzizenzic is a fresh take on the twin-stick shooter.

It's 2D, it's evil, it's trippy, but it's never frustrating. Zenzizenzic (try saying it fast for three times) fuses classic mechanics from old arcade shooters and modern elements. It's only weakness is the limited amount of this elements, but it's still a great choice for those who love the genre.

Zenzizenzic is a neat take on bullet hell, sans the Anime kitsch that it's usually wrapped in. For a debut project it shows professional execution and polish, and the catchy soundtrack should sweep players off their feet. With a price around ten bucks, it's a must-see for fans of the genre.
