Right now, WWE 2K15 seems to be more or less broken on PC. When the game works, it's actually kind of lovely and a throwback in many ways to the slower, more methodical pace of N64-era wrestling games.

That's hugely preferable to me and the pace is backed up by context-specific animations that really add authenticity to the proceedings. The big issue, however, stems from technical

That's hugely preferable to me and the pace is backed up by context-specific animations that really add authenticity to the proceedings. The big issue, however, stems from technical issues that many appear to be having on the Steam forums. I've experiences these problems, too. Most notably, the frame rate takes a serious dive even when you lower the settings to bare minimum and get rid of the crowds in the game.

For reference, I'm using an i7 machine with a 770 video card. I can max most modern games without a hitch, but WWE 2K15 chugs along even when nothing much is happening. It's a huge bummer.

Combine that with some curious bugs (think the Andrew Bynum "Christ Bug" from the canceled NBA Live game years ago), and you've got a game I can't recommend.

A word about the marketing of the game, too. 2K & WWE said the game would have free DLC, but never mentioned that it wouldn't be available at launch. Don't try looking for all the content they promised -- it's not there yet.

From what I've seen, they'll need to focus heavily on fixing existing problems before getting the DLC patched into the game. If they fix the issues, I think it's a very solid game that deserves your attention. If they leave these problems unattended, don't bother.

Don't get me wrong. The PC version making a return 13 years later is awesome, but it should be released alongside console versions and should have a modding API.

Whats annoying with reviews, is people are constantly reviewing the game not based on gameplay. Just aesthetics. The gameplay, is actually better and more fun than any other wrestling game ive played in years. Sure a lot of stuff was taken out, its barebones right now, but i really hope they build on what they have. For the first time in a wrestling game, since the N64days of WWE Wrestlemania an dNo mercy etc, i feel i coul lose a match, even if i play really well. This aspect of sports games, is so important and is a reason i love NBA 2K15/16 so much, even if i play great, i might still lose. They need to build on this for the next wrestling game. Since i only have a PC and am only interested in teh PC platform as a gaming console, I'm going to have to wait for WWE 2K16 to come onto the PC platform through STEAM , hopefully they have built onto this system they have now and made it more challenging as a single player experience. On the harder difficulty, i want the feeling that i might lose even if i play well. That will keep me coming back for more and it will make me enjoy universe mode more to, as ill never truly know the outcome of any game i play. Im giving this a 7 because they do need to add a lot of stuff and improve the modes more. But as far as gameplay goes, i think they are onto the right track. This game could be really challenging adn fun to play in a few years if they keep this up. Expand

It's not the best, WWE 2k15 has some of the worst gameplay ideas i've ever seen. The concept of making it more realistic was a good idea, but it's not fun to fall every 5 seconds. The career mode was better than the 30 Years of Wrestlemania, because it actually had a custom superstar going through the different stages of being a WWE Superstar. Speaking of Superstars, the roster is very unsatisfying; I understand this was made in the 2014 year, but the roster lacked any of the superstars we wanted to play as. Unless you want to play as Darren Young. Wait, you didn't want to? Well you can, only in WWE 2k15, folks! I didn't think this game was horrible, the game does have some pretty cool things in it, such as improved commentary and showcases, but the game lacks the things that make it a wrestling game. In conclusion, WWE 2k15 is like expecting a good game, but then getting beat by Heath Slater; yeah, about 5% of you get that joke. 2k14 is the better game out of the two, and you'd be better off buying that than this game. This game isn't bad, but it lacks the content to make it memorable. WWE 2k15 gets a 5/10 Expand

Finally WWE 2K15 makes its debut on PC with a rich, visually-stunning episode but the same old issues.

Maybe not the best there was or the best there is and certainly not the best there ever will be then, but it’s a good start all the same and after all, legends have been fashioned from less.

The controls, once you get used to them, work well and with the huge range of superstars, multitude of game modes and professional presentation of the bouts, WWE 2K15 is a worthy return to PC.
