It's only a "remaster" in a broad sense of the term, but fundamentally it's still the Worms World Party we know and love, but with Steam achievements, controller support and better compatibility on modern operating systems. I'd even go as far to say that this game offers a superior experience to Worms Armageddon, for the same price on Steam. Don't believe the horrible reviews, this game IS worth playing if you liked the original Worms World Party. Expand

Since the worms looks like the same ones like in Armageddon I had to buy this game as well. I must say that I prefer the sound effects in Armageddon. I don't think they should have remastered the game. If you are having issues with the game, try this:

Go to your game directory: Steam/steamapps/common/WormsWorldParty Locate the file "w2.exe" Right click and select properties. Go to

Team17 did not promise much with this so called “remaster” (higher resolutions, controller support, achievements and improved audio) but still failed to deliver. Menus are in 640 x 480 stretched to fit whatever screen you have, Full HD during matches causes everything to be smaller, not more detailed, the game can’t keep the promised 60 fps and netcode is laughable. While it looks a little shinier than it used to, it still doesn't look new, and it certainly doesn't play like a modern game.

So minor licks of new paint aside, Worms World Party Remastered remains much as it always has been then. Twee to look at and evolving little in this latest instalment but still horrendously entertaining all the same, it’s difficult to be too upset with Team 17’s newest release when it maintains the core of the series so commendably well.
