    Greatest worms game that exists so far. Singleplayer mode can maybe get boring but online multiplayer is so much fun. This game is one of my favorite games ever. There is so much schemes, weapons and other stuff. Yeah this game deserves....

    The pinnacle of the Worms series, of course in 2D.

    The game is primarily a multiplayer, and is probably the funniest thing you could ever play with your friends.

    There is not a single thing to fault about it, undoubtedly one of the best games of all time.

    Simply one of the best games I've ever played. The controls, weapons, physics and balance were probably never topped by numerous other competent Worms games. A game that encourages strategy and imagination. Good hot-seat play, good online play.

    One of the best hot seat multiplayer games ever made. Great selection of weapons, nice cartoon graphics with funny high quality sound sets for different teams. Fantastic game physics and so many possibilities once you learn how to properly use ninja rope ;-)

    It's a game one must love.

    It never stops becoming too aged to be fun. In a fact, Team17 still support this game, so it always improves with new features over time. It is also the best Worms game in my opinion and is generally enjoyable.

    No doubt the best 2d Worms game ever, still played online at this time (2020). Endless fun with friends with hotseat or online. Still worth your time in modern days!

    That game reminds nothing, but only a good childhood memories, when I was playing in it along with my best friend. Funny voice acting always made me smile during the gameplay.

    amazingly fun game. I was skeptical at first because of it's 2d game play, graphics, & silly style, but this game is well done. It's silly but balanced and unique.

    It's basically a classic that will be around for decades.

    The game made my brother's and mine evenings early in the childhood when the net connection was non-existent, It's still being played to this day thanks to its universal gameplay.

    I played the demo version back then, so this is my first time playing the full game. Oh the nostalgia kicks in. I'm glad that "Super Sheep" was the only "Special Weapon" in the demo version and it is still my favorite weapon. The worms are so cute, so adorable, so innocent...hmm... I love their funny quotes like: What are you nuts - What was that - Whoops - We Are The Winners and so on. AI played the demo version back then, so this is my first time playing the full game. Oh the nostalgia kicks in. I'm glad that "Super Sheep" was the only "Special Weapon" in the demo version and it is still my favorite weapon. The worms are so cute, so adorable, so innocent...hmm... I love their funny quotes like: What are you nuts - What was that - Whoops - We Are The Winners and so on. A good tip is to set the resolution to 640x480 otherwise it is way too much HD, at least for me.… Expand

    I have played it a lot with my friends. Very cool game if you don't have controllers and only 1 PC. At the time it came out it was an excellent title to play with pretty much anyone who would visit your house :)

    Worms Armageddon is the climax of this cult-series. Every aspect, that was great in the predecessor was even improved. Graphics, weapons, sound, gameplay and overall experience are nearly perfect. Maybe the best local multiplayer game ever!

    Back in the day it was THE game to play with friends and family. I loved the total mayhem you could cause and those funny little worms that try to brutally kill each other. "Hallelujah!"

    Huge improvement over the original classic in terms of graphics. Gameplay is still as fun as ever. Although i must agree - u can only go so far in single player. . . To really enjoy this ball-buster u gotta beat the **** out of your friends! ):D i just play with my friends on one computer, without bothering for online play.

Should delight fans of the series and newcomers alike. Easy enough to pick up and play, but perfecting the art of Wormfare is no small thing.     Worms Armageddon is one of those classic games that you shouldnt miss. Even in its inferior console ports, the core gameplay is intact. Talking about the gameplay itself, it was a nice upgrade over the original Worms. The physics were way smooth and is easier to predict how the weapons fall. Although i didnt like it that the jumping itself is a bit more clunky, but it still gets the jobWorms Armageddon is one of those classic games that you shouldnt miss. Even in its inferior console ports, the core gameplay is intact. Talking about the gameplay itself, it was a nice upgrade over the original Worms. The physics were way smooth and is easier to predict how the weapons fall. Although i didnt like it that the jumping itself is a bit more clunky, but it still gets the job done. The arsenal was also greatly expanded, with a LOT of new weapons, that gives the game tons of creativity and strategy. For me the highlight of the game was creating and customizing teams, custom matches, maps and schemes, the game is just designed around that. This things along makes Worms Armageddon arguably not only what worms should be, but also it gives its unique core esence to it, its unique charm, and a manual to make strategic games fun........ BUT.......
    Is this game perfect? No, not by a long shot. There are a few flaws that shamefully ruins the game for me. First of all, the controls and collision detection. They are way very finicky at times. Not only the worm sometimes cant reach certain elements of the enviroment, but also, since the level itself is like a cookie that leaves crumbs, sometimes you will see bazookas and homing missiles crashing magically in the air. Using grenades and bazookas from long distances can be also very hard, and this wouldnt be a negative point if the game doesnt expect you to make perfect shots so many times in the campaign. The level design both in training mode and in the campaign is sadistic. They can take way too long and the game demands you flawless runs with specific strategies, even in the first missions. And the difficult curve is all over the place. Also, to get gold medals in campaign you have to beat a mission in the first try (if you do more attempts and later you beat the mission the counter resets). This really makes the game artifficialy longer, and for unlocking everything you have to obtain gold medals in every level. I really aprecciate the PS1 version for making training missions much less strict (like 1 minute less) and not having autosave, so you dont waste unnecesary time with the campaign and the deathmatch mode. Unfortunately this version lacks fire weapons, probably for technical limitations and you cannot create schemes, something really bad. Is still an impressive port though, and with 16:9 support (one of the few PS1 games with this option).
    Although i wouldnt call Worms Armageddon the most perfect game in the series as everyone tend to say, in fact, i think games like Armageddon 2, 4 Mayhem or even the first Worms were way better, Armageddon is the most revolutionary and important one.    … Expand
