Tier IV polish tank has an awful tier II gun as a starting one, meaning you are next to useless when you play against 5 or 6 tiers. Who came up with this idea and implemented it into the game?     The matchmaking is very bad and very unfair.
    When I play roughly 30rounds, my team win only 5-8 times. The rest of the round I have only loses.
    The world of tanks support said only: the matchmaking is fair. Every round, every team has a win chance from 50 percent, but I see only something between 5 and 46 percent. Sometimes 60 percent.

    Want I try to say is, that everything at this game is a big fail.

    You can't join to tournaments, because you need an appointed rank. They, world of tanks, don't accepted my clan mates and me.
    I uninstalled the game and I never play this game again.
    I advise you to play another game.

    This game says it is a "free online game" but once you reach a certain tier, you will lose in game credits because you will have to pay in game credits on ammunition and repairs. This forces you to buy premium tanks (earns more in game credits) with real money. The only premium tank that are effective at making credits are the ones that cost $40 to $80. ($_$)

    The grinding in this game is ridiculous, you can spend up to a year on grinding a top tier tank. you will receive half of the winning team's XP(needed to unlock tanks and their modules) earned if you lose. The winners on a match is dependent on match making which most of the time places one team with highly skilled players and the other team with people who have no clue what is happening.

    Accuracy is all about luck. It is annoying when you wait around 7 seconds to fully aim your gun on the target 100 metres away, then miss, reload for 15 seconds and repeat for 5 times, spending minutes on accomplishing nothing.

    There are self propelled guns which can shoot across the map and one shot the majority of the tanks in the game. Many people say they are fine because they have a long reload, poor accuracy and long aim time. These cons do not weigh out its overpowering potential. its long reload is followed up by a shot that can half hit enemies even if it misses due to the splash damage. When The SPG hits the target or does not hit, the shot can easily knock out 5 to 8 modules and crew making the victim near to useless. Players only get 1 repair kit and med kit per game, unless they want to spend the amount of credits they have earned in 2 to 4 games (each game goes for an average of 8 minutes) for a large repair kit or med kit. The accuracy is based on luck and it is still not that bad considering that the shot does not need to hit the target to deal the overwhelming damage.
    It is near impossible to dodge the shot from SPGs without a fast tank and 90% of the maps in World of Tanks do not provide enough cover to hide from SPGs. In those maps, the amount of cover there are from SPGs, is around 2% to 6% of entire map. Players can only use around 0.5% to 1% of every map where it is safe from SPGs, where you are able to contribute with the team and where cover is present to hide behind from enemy tank fire.    … Expand

    Extremely buggy, almost impossible to play without the best internet. Cant even use most wifi because many of the features become useless. For instance, cannot even SEE the enemy if your connection is slow. This makes it far more difficult than is has to be.

You don't see or understand any of this until you get some experience.

    In addition, the comments below are correct about tanks disappearing before your eyes. I was just in a battle where a heavy tank (T114), which I was shooting at from 250 meters disappeared in an open field with nothing around him. In the next battle an amx elc moved to within 100 meters from me, ( couldnt see him moving), started hitting me, and I still couldnt see him until after he killed me. And this was after I was sitting completely behind a dead tank.

    I would love to tell you its the best game ever, but I am quitting today after the above because it is just so unfair. That and many players dont help out in battles (hide), and WOT does nothing about it or even care about it. Three days ago i witnessed a team member kill another and supposedly an automatic system will suspend the player, well nothing happened to him and when I wrote a ticket and forwarded a copy of the replay to WOT all I received was a canned response saying the auto system works.

    The real problem is WOT is run by Russians who dont care about anything, just your moeny to buy gold rounds.    … Expand

In conclusion the game has not changed since its beta in 2010 what is very worrying since games like DOTA 2 or LOL keep evolving and the devs actually do things and just talk about things they are going to change.     Serious flaws in the game. Elite player base in the higher tiers who love to troll less skilled players and a matchmaking system that promotes that kind of activity. Until they fix the system that creates the matches, the game is not worth playing.

    Many issues that have made World of Tanks a failure currently is the stunted development of new tank trees, but the emergence of a lot of premium tanks. Nothing wrong with premium tanks but in 2015 and 2016 currently they have added more premium tanks than researchable tanks and will continue to do so and no one tells them this is a bad idea. The sudden nerfs to all premium tanks after they are bought from players and lose their unique qualities. No new maps but promised new maps. Terrible map rotation, that annoys everyone. Campers are rewarded through the bad map design and the camo rating which is still insanely broken and rewards people who have higher lvl crews than lower lvlcrews, basically rewarding people who play more have premium instead of rewarding people who have skill. Paying for extra barracks is a scam and is muddled with the free premium tanks given out to try where those avatars now sit in the barracks without even given the option. I have 0 out of 32 barracks but their are 135 crew but I can't do anything as I need to spend all this gold on getting a bigger barracks for high level crews but feel scammed as I have to spend money on both garage space and barracks which is not right.

    The communities stand on criticism. Their stand on criticism is to censor anything against the pro quota and mods do this daily. The community is making things worst as they allow for WoT to follow this shaky path and give them their blessings. The Youtuber's who play WoT who don't call out wargamming for shady and unethical business decisions while still saying to their viewers their on your side when it doesn't feel like that at all.

    Last the patches are lazy and wargamming have been saying for two years now they are too busy making hd models of tanks than implementing new content for people to play in the game and have this as a higher priority than new content. Content is no where to be seen and is not thoroughly reviewed or given good feedback this is due to the main WoT Youtuber's agree every single time. 2016 WoT can be summed up with Wargamming adding new sounds to the game and this is something the community should look forward to get when other developers wouldn't blink twice about something that seems common sense but here it's a big deal.

The game ensures this is true by manipulating the matchups, which affects your personal "statistics"; a fact admitted by Wargaming and their lawyers. The claim is they manipulate the win rate to "encourage" players; but the reality does not support the claim. If you have bad personal statistics, then the worst thing about this game reveals itself, the absolutely hateful community assaults you during every game because you have "bad statistics" and you're the reason they lost, making the game a horrible experience. Every match consists of 15 players on a side, so you're actual contribution to every possible win is 1/30th statistically; and skill can not make up the other 29/30ths. Thus all new players learning the game without an experienced "guide" is assured to have "bad statistics" for months, years or possibly forever.
    The only way to avoid this scenario is IF you have, make or find a friend that belongs to a clan (a large group) of players who have already paid the price to be "top tier"; then you can improve your statistics by battling with a known group who won't criticize as much and already own the best tanks by spending alot of money and time.
    If you can't play this game as a member of a large successful clan from the start, then my heartfelt advice is to avoid this particular game and Wargaming.net in general.    … Expand

    The game itself is good, does require some real money purchases if you don't want to be stuck grinding for ever. Or if you intend to play competitively.

    but DO NOT spend money on this game! Customer service is beyond terrible!
    Instead of reimbursing you with items/refunding your money when they have game issues, customer service tells you to go f*ck yourself.

    Honestly the game would be great if it wasn't broken so often or their CS team wasn't so bad. Want to play with your friends? Too bad, because the ability to do so will often be broken for DAYS without any announcement or explanation, until you contact CS, who tell you basically nothing. Not worth any investment.

    I've lost 4 years playing this game: 2 months of real life, almost 400 dollars of summary ingame payments and in return i've got only each day rages, fat ass and miserable life of typical russian redneck.     Last month I'm spending almost 4-5 hours a day playing. I've got premium tanks, good statistics and lots of ingame friends, but in real life I don't even have a job, I've got nothing.

    This game is like a nowadays sort of gambling, it's a disease, and it's especially dangerous if u're weak-willed man.

    Pay2Win. Buy premium vehicle to play better tanks that are available in game Tech Tree. Unballanced, very irritating game (still unsolved problems like gold shells, artillery etc). Absolutly not recommended.

    Believe the low user score, this is not "people who suck" complaining. Nearly everything about this game is designed to force to you spend money, and a lot of it. The longer you play the less in game currency you make, to the point of turning a loss, and the grind is interminable at the top. WoT is pay to get stats to win. dont be fooled by youtubers like quickybaby he is full of **** as he is in fact a paying player. i will give you an example: my "stats" suck i dont pay. mm consistantly ( this mornign alone 5 battles 5 losses) thus lowering my stats giveing me worse and worse games. the kinds of teams i get are teams that go full on retard lemming to one side of the map, to make things worse these lemmings are the players with the supposedly better stats and at the end of the battle they are already wiped leaving players like myself swarmed by almost the full entirety of the enemy team. so, if you ahvent played it dont, if you are thinking about playing it again dont, avoid this believe me after consistant losses you to will be wondering why you bothered to try it in the first place ( especially when you start paying money on prem tanks and buying in game gold and credits ( credits are earned but can also be bought and credits is how you resupply and repair your tank) . right now i cant play any tank past tier VII and then my credits fluctuate startign at 1 mill can be at 20k in about a week and then they will slowly build back up provided i have a prem account otherwise they will go dry… Expand

You as a player are thrown in the game with 29 other people while playing random battles. 29 potentially dangerous people trying to kill you even tho it's 15v15 team based game. What do I mean you ask? Well... Imagine 2 people playing in single platoon (up to 3 people can be matchmaked together). One is there to bump into you, ram you and make it impossible for you to play the game so you ram him once to let him know that it's annoying and that he should stop. His friend comes and shoots you into tracks, makes you unable to move. You defend yourself and shoot back BUT if you do that the game will make your nickname blue after few shots so others can shoot you without penalty. What is not clear is how the automated system calculates how many shots can you shoot and when a and when not it will count them. I got shot 2 times by one ally and he didnt become blue, I shot him 2 times and bacema blue so his friend came and killed me completly with 3 shots also without becoming blue. When you contact game support they tell you it's automated system and they can't do anything for you. How is that noone can do anything for me when I pay them to make my game be better? Not fair for anyone. Also your blue nicname lasts for few battles so you are like ok, let's forget this and let's play. You load into new game and boom, your ally shoots you with no reason whatsoever, just because you are blue. Again, noone from Wargaming will ever help you with anything. So if you want to play this game, don't play it competitively, just try to don't take it too seriously and for the love of god, never spend money on it, EVER. It won't do you any good and you will be able to leave the game unlike me. I spent alot so I can't leave it. It's horrible addiction that should be regulated by law.… Expand

    World of Tanks is the ultimate tank battle game, and with a price tag of 0 whatever your currency is - there really isn't anything major to complain about.

    It combines aspects of great RPG games and first person shooters, wraps them into a package that will appeal to the historian, and tosses in a dash of addiction to combine into one great final product.
