    Very beautiful graphics, music, sound design and fun gameplay ruined by perhaps the most aggressive p2w system in the PC gaming history.

    I was playing War Thunder before WoT, and I wanted to see how it fared against it. It's a lot more arcadey, but that doesn't mean the game is not fun. It's a lot of fun until I realized how quickly the grind got out of hand.     I was playing War Thunder before WoT, and I wanted to see how it fared against it. It's a lot more arcadey, but that doesn't mean the game is not fun. It's a lot of fun until I realized how quickly the grind got out of hand. Even with premium, I was stuck in progress because, in this game, ammo costs you in-game money and if you don't perform well enough you will gain very little if not lose money match to match.

    There is fog of war in this game, it looks like it doesn't but it does. And your crew level determines how accurate your shots will be, and how far your tank can see. With just grinding, topping off the whole crew takes a lot of grind. But you have the option to just pay real money to outright buy fully experienced crew members which will give you superior accuracy, fire rate, FoV, and even perks like "Sixth Sense" where if you're seen by an enemy an alert warns you and you can avoid certain death.

    Ammo seems like it's not premium but the strongest AP rounds are so much more expensive then regular ammo (10 times) if you buy them but die without getting lots of kills, you will lose tons of in-game money. But you can always buy premium to gain more exp and in-game money, or you can just convert your premium currency to in-game currency.

    I've learned these all the hard way, I didn't know any of this when I first started playing WoT. I've got my *** handed to me by "sixth sense, eagle-eyed superhuman crewed tanks" so many times, I thought the game was glitching or I was playing against cheaters.

    Stay away from this mess if you want to stay sane.    … Expand

The "Critics" were given the use of a Press account to play the game. Those accounts have every vehicle available in the game, includes the best vehicles. The real users actually start with 11 basic (lowest, weakest, unappealing) tanks to play..

    POSITIVES:
    The game can be fun at times.
    Extensive list of vehicles that can appeal to History or Military buffs.
    Graphics and special effects are pretty good.
    Battles are short, 3 to 15 minutes (maximum).
    Supposedly "Free to play".
    Great time waster.

    NEGATIVES:
    Russian Company. The best/most extensive roster of vehicles are Russian (Russian Bias).
    Customer Service is horrible.
    Many cheat MODS available and used by players - difficult to police.
    Earning in game credits is based on performance and winning to advance more quickly.
    The more real money you pay, the better your chances of quick advancement and success.
    Only start with 11 basic tanks.
    You can buy "Premium" tanks with real money as high as `$80.00 USD
    Can take years to get to a tank that you desire to play (unlike the press accounts).
    Steep learning curve and very little instruction material - easily found.
    Game is dying in North America. Used to have as many as 50,000 people a night playing. Now, barely 5,000 at times due to the inequity and toxic atmosphere between players.
    Game actually tries to determine when you win or lose (Not completely skill based).

    Honest review: I liked the game. As a History buff, it appealed to me. I enjoyed the graphics of the vehicles. But there "seems" to be a Russian Bias towards Russian vehicles (better armor, more powerful guns....) The game is based on Win/Loss to distribute in-game credits, but after statistical analysis, the new player has no hope of winning very often. People who pay real money for past tanks do not get the same value as people who pay real money for the new tanks, continually forcing you to pay more money to "keep up with the jones". It can take years to get to a top tier tank (best tanks), depending on how often you play. The only way to continually play the top level tanks is to be the best of the best players or pay alot of your own money. Buying something from this company does not guarantee you anything. Your purchased vehicle can be changed (for better or worse), removed from the game, or be outclassed by a newly introduced vehicle.
    Cheaters using cheat mods were rampant and the high number of toxic abusive players shows the frustration level people experience while playing this game. There's just too many negatives to justify spending any money on this game - which includes the following.. World of Warplanes, World of Warships.......... Anything from Wargaming. Move on - find another game to play. Save yourself the money and frustration.    … Expand

    If Wargaming is spending so much money to advertise its game it will have to develop it on the same level. But that's not the way Wargaming has chosen. They chose "pay to play" and grind politics. As a result, game has no optimisation, weak balance, linear gameplay and bad reality.

Вас будет унижать арта, вас будет бесить не пробитие, рикошеты. А еще в этой игре есть колесная техника которая быстрее вас в 2-4. Еще тут есть прекрасный вид овощей под название "КУСТАДРОТЫ" от которого ваш пердак будет гореть как турбина боинга.… Expand

    I play this game since the beginning (more than 8 years already). It was amazing game back then with a lot of cool, kind and nice players. Years after years it was just getting worse and worse to now NOT WORTH IT to spend your time in it. It becomes a play to win one where it's throwing you in a an absolut **** MM (MatchMaking) where the weaker players (no ofense) are given better RNGI play this game since the beginning (more than 8 years already). It was amazing game back then with a lot of cool, kind and nice players. Years after years it was just getting worse and worse to now NOT WORTH IT to spend your time in it. It becomes a play to win one where it's throwing you in a an absolut **** MM (MatchMaking) where the weaker players (no ofense) are given better RNG (RandomNumberGenerator) so they have bigger chance against you (if you are skilled one). Here is the time to mention the onse (old unicum players) who are using illegal modes because they just can't give up. There are too many issues which are been pointed by previous guys here so no need to share them again.
    If you are new player - do NOT, I repeat, do NOT waste time and money to invest in this game if you respect yourself and don't want to be made fool by the arrogant and ignorant WG staff! The grinding to get to the top tier is a HELL now. Most new players are just giving up. By the time they've reached tier 8 they've already spent too much cash for it and it's becoming harder to give up. It's a magic circle where a lot of people are trapped.
    The game is advertised that there are over 100 milion players which is so hilarious. In the EU server there are no more than 70k per day online and this is at the peak time not to mention that there are people using 2-3 accounts (yes, they are for real). In the US server the players sometimes wait more than 8 minutes to get into a battle because of lack of people ( I have friends in the game who switched from US server to the EU because of this).
    There is of course good thing but it's mostly for old school players like me who have more than 30 tier X tanks in the garage and this is the Strongholds, Team battles and Clan Wars where you play with your Clan members against another Clan. This is the only fun which have left here.
    Everything else is a lost cause.
    Hope I'll safe some souls on their way to the slaughterhouse called WG.    … Expand

    this game is pay to win garbage, tanks look cool but all gameplay is random crap involving random teams random hit targeting and poor level design. the only thing buying tanks does is give you massive hp and armor buffs to actually survive more than 3 hits

    Wargaming (Slavic People) are Sociopaths. They use Fixed Match-Making and Number Generator. They help out worthless players to get kills and wins. So if you're good, they punish you for it. They can't handle any kind of Criticism.

There little to no real balancing, that mean that tanks who are tier 8 can't stand up to the very good tier 9 and 10 tanks. Now because the matchmaker does not match teams on skill, games are often uneven, games    NOT WORTH PLAYING !

    So what makes this game bad ?
    There little to no real balancing, that mean that tanks who are tier 8 can't stand up to the very good tier 9 and 10 tanks.
    Now because the matchmaker does not match teams on skill, games are often uneven, games don't feel balanced because some tanks who might be Tier 10 but don't have much armor face off against tanks of the same class and tier who are just straight out better.
    You tend to face enemy tanks which are 1-2 tiers higher than you most of the time, tanks which you have almost no chance of beating. Well why don't you only play tier 10 then, huh ?
    There are tanks in Tier 10 which are so much better than some of the others, as a game developer you cannot balance everything right, but you can listen to the feedback of the players that play the game. Wargaming simply does not care about the community feedback.
    The next thing is that some premium tanks, you can buy for real world money are flat out better than their normal counterpart, so here is a Pay-to-win aspect. Note that anyone can get Premium tanks.
    The penalty system is also very bad, people can get away with shooting / pushing you all game without them getting banned while you have no way of defending against griefers like that and if you shoot back and turn blue which means they can now shoot you without getting any punishment.
    There are many more things but I want to keep this short and only list the things that bother me the most.
    The negative aspects of the game out-way the positive with a ratio of 100 to 1.

    I have about 5000 hours in this game and I play since 2012, and I have no reason to really give a positive opinion.    … Expand

    This is a pretty good game. It is difficult to get into. It is kind of a pay to win game but you need to be good at the game to have fun. And the teams are crap and the match making is broke. So is the gold ammo. But I like the clans. Some of the clans are very fun to be in. I would recommend skirmishes, strongholds, and advances with your clan mates. If you are wiling to pay 40 E just once like for any other new game then you are good to go. Still you cant have the best autoloaders and the matchmaking and gold ammo are kinda weird choices from Wargaming. Very fun to play with friends, had some great times while playing it. Brilliant end-game content and there is a lot of diversity to all the tanks and tank trees. You can spend your life in this game and still doesnt unlock everything. If they will fix the MM and repair gold ammunition to also have some downsides i will higher up the score for sure.

    And yeah it has absolutely worst players in any game i have ever seen. But thats not the problem of the game. Its problem of the people who doesnt have more than 10- brain cells.

    Also huge + is that updates actually make this game better, which is something most multiplayer games cant tell.

    Guys who say its P2W are those getting rekted i have never used a single gold ammo shot and i am doing much better than average player. So you are just a bunch of noobs = FACTS    … Expand

Their love for everything Russian boarders sorry I meant Soviet is a joke topped now only by their Hero worship of Stain which they have now openly declared. The European Server is going nuts andI have played from Beta till now and the game has gone from good to bad to worse.     its like war thunder except everything is RNG, removing any element of skill from the shooting, it also still carries the P2W bias that war thunder has, so for people like myself that were looking for a more fair alternative to WT, its terrible, unfun and outright frustrating, especially when a perfect shot decides to deviate randomly because RNG

Driving up the sales of premium accounts by overbuffing armor on some tanks, requiring you to spam the more expensive ammo at it. Heading towards actual P2W by making a tier VIII premium tank with 90% of the stats of a tier IX. Knowing WG, I very much doubt they've stopped doing those things (and more...) since I've quit.

    There is a point in this game, when you either start improving your gameplay - reading up on the mechanics, memorizing the armour layouts, learning maps etc. - or you go on and become a noob. If you're in the first group - then you'll eventually start seeing the faults of the game itself. Things like bad MM (maybe they fixed it, doubt it though), constant stream of bugs, RNG, SPGs, bad map design, bad balance and stupid buff/nerf decisions, "russian bias", treating the EU server like a cash-cow (also, WG EU are a bunch of idiots), occasional bots and cheaters. Things that gradually take away the fun from it, until you're playing it just because you've got nothing better to do, not because you enjoy it. If you're in the second group and you don't notice all of that, then maybe you can have fun. Dunno, personally I don't take pleasure in being bad at something.

    All of this combined made me quit. I would sooner, but I needed a game I could occasionally spend half an hour on, when I didn't want to play something too serious. So, thanks Warframe, for saving me...

    If you want to just drive around in a tank, shooting stuff without too much commitment - this could be a fun game (just please don't support the **** devs with your money...).
    But If you actually want to get good at this game, and you value your sanity - stay as far away from this as you can.    … Expand

And those who PAY MONEY will win, and those WHO DONT PAY MONEY will lose. 100% of matches there are bots, trolls, suiciders on both teams. 99% of players left are using cheats. The toxic wallet warriors actually believe they have good stats because of skill and not because they dumped a buttload of cash into this game.

    Basically the idea for the game is great, its just been butchered by MONEY-HUNGRY losers who designed this game to be more frustrating than fun, and if u want fun to give them money. You will regularly be placed bottom tier of your team 99% of the time. But when you play a lower tier tank you will see the same tank you have placed top tier and ask yourself, "How come when i play that tank its bottom tier, but when someone else plays the same tank they get top tier?" The answer is you need to pay them money to experience any joy whatsoever.

    Actually trolling your team by camping at spawn/teamkilling is more fun than putting in any effort to this totally rigged trash pile. Funny thing is the game is dying and if they had only made it fun for ppl they would be having many players and much more profits. When you look at it rationally its basically like they WANT their game to die. Very pathetic.

    I didnt even get into the terrible performance for not so amazing graphics. the water and trees are completely not optimized. And i could find a million more faults with the game that they ADDED onto it.

    Before their graphical update it was actually much better. But the matchmaker giving you only losses nonstop for hours, the cheaters, and the pay 2 win ammunition+tanks are the 3 biggest flaws that ruin any and all fun that could have been had.

    I played over 18k battles and since 2010. And it has only gotten worse over time. It appears as though they took all the money made from this game and used it in all types of other projects, such as warplanes, warships, etc. So if you pay here you're not paying to fix the game, you're paying for the devs to move onto new pastures as they let this game die.    … Expand

This game WAS good back in the day. With the release of new tank lines. "Power creep." ((New tanks with better armor, guns, view range, movement, etc" vs old tanks are more and more.     After 7 years I was told i couldn't get my unattractive Username changed and that I would have to spend $20 to change it myself. That is just 1 example of the greed that plagues this company. I had one game (without Premium) with a Tiger II, 1 kill and 6 hits, got destroyed 3/4 through the match and went in the hole 3K silver... Stupid that I am "losing" progression after a decent match.

    This game is fun only if you are a clueless noob.
    Game is p2w, increasingly so. Tanks are not balanced, some suspect it's on purpose for monetary reasons. Maps are tiny and buggy.
    Game is based on LOS combat, but there is a class that can fire indirectly with no way to avoid it or retaliate. Most of players are bad or resigned or both, community is very toxic, starting with the devs.    This game is fun only if you are a clueless noob.
    Game is p2w, increasingly so. Tanks are not balanced, some suspect it's on purpose for monetary reasons. Maps are tiny and buggy.
    Game is based on LOS combat, but there is a class that can fire indirectly with no way to avoid it or retaliate.
    Most of players are bad or resigned or both, community is very toxic, starting with the devs.
    Low tiers have unbalanced garbage gameplay with many seal-clubbers preying on inexperienced players.
    Game has 10 tiers of tanks with ever increasing capabilities. Matchmaker will try to make a 3 tier spread battles in 3/5/7 template, which means players spend 85% of the time as bottom tier, unless they are playing tier 9 or 10, where game stops being free because of the ammo/repair costs.
    Grinds are terrible and long, stock tanks are very inferior to their fully researched counterparts.
    Heavy tanks are pointless, since the only strength they have, armour, get easily defeated by more expensive premium ammo even by tanks 2 tiers lower. When bottom tier, HTs are just slow pinatas, since +1/+2 tier tanks have no problems damaging them.
    The game has been losing players fast, prime time population on EU server cluster has dropped from 150k at the release of 1.0 to 100k in just 3 months.
    I think the publishers know the game is dying so they are just milking it till it does.    … Expand

Talking of tier 8, WOT released a whole series of premium tanks that are hugely op, thus making the game even more pay to win and also means there is little benefit in progressing past tier 5/6.

    Maps are hugely uninspiring with very limited choices in maps to play - the developers have removed more maps than they have added, with most maps being variations of pre existing ones (they added snow) which add little to your game experience. Cover (an important mechanic for light tanks) has also been removed, thus making most matches played a dull zerg rush with little tactical thinking.

    Check the videos of klaus kellerman (coarse language warning) , the mighty jingles and aging jedi (now markgfl) for more info. regarding the declining scale in quality of WOT, and the general contempt the company has shown towards their player-base in the last 24 months.

    Overall, I could not recommend spending money (and thus supporting) on this game in it's current state - I have spent in excess of 150 gbp to date over the last five years and shall not be spending anymore. What once was a tremendously enjoyable (yet flawed) game is now clearly a tool for wargaming to fleece their player-base, whilst at the same time ignore and censor any critique (see sirfochgate). By all mean play it for free, but don't open the wallet!!

    - Toxic community: No matter how hard you try, people will judge and berate your actions like no tomorrow, even if you did the right thing. Have fun receiving hate mail after every match!
    - Wargaming's decisions. This company has ridiculously poor decision-making abilities. Not only do they refuse to listen to the players and community contributors, they completely ignore any advice thrown at them. All they care about is money and they will try to earn cash by all means - over-buffing tanks, releasing new OP premium tanks etc.
    - Horrible low tier experience. Wargaming really just doesn't give a damn about balance in low tiers. New players will enter the battle in stock and underpowered tanks and get raped by pretty much everything in the way

    Overall:
    If you're a dead set tank enthusiast, then the game might be worth it for you. Otherwise, you can pretty much go screw yourself as Wargaming doesn't give half a damn about their customers and treats them like idiots.    … Expand

    also the game is self aware that this is a bad thing and they of course solve it by money, there is something called "premium matchmaking" which only takes effect on premium tanks which are only bought by real money,
    what it does is it only matches your premium tank with others that are not 2 tiers above yours.
    and you might think that for example if you get a tier 5 m4 sherman, then you wouldnt have to worry about the tier 6 tanks anymore which where annoying when you only had tier 4 tanks to fight them with, but now you will meet tier 7 tanks which are also annoying. and when you get a tier 6 you will meet tier 8, this 2 tier above matchmaking will keep on going until you reach tier 9 and 10. (which are extremly hard to get because the progression is so slow even after tier 5.)

    i still enjoy playing this game and i hope they would listen, and fix this issue.    … Expand

    For example, they ran an event at Christmas 2016 where you could get a full compliment of Swedish female tank crew members, except the crew they gave you would only fit in 3 out of the 20 Swedish tanks unless you paid a bit of cash for the 6th crew member you needed for the other 17 vehicles.
    A similar event is run in March 2017 where you could get a free tank, except half way through the event they ramped up the difficulty to the point of you having to play for 6+ hours per day to win your token for that day, unless of course if you want to pay a little bit of cash for a token instead.
    See what I mean? These are greedy devs that have ruined their game for money over the last few years. Do yourself a favour and avoid this mess.    … Expand

You as a player are thrown in the game with 29 other people while playing random battles. 29 potentially dangerous people trying to kill you even tho it's 15v15 team based game. What do I mean you ask? Well... Imagine 2 people playing in single platoon (up to 3 people can be matchmaked together). One is there to bump into you, ram you and make it impossible for you to play the game so you ram him once to let him know that it's annoying and that he should stop. His friend comes and shoots you into tracks, makes you unable to move. You defend yourself and shoot back BUT if you do that the game will make your nickname blue after few shots so others can shoot you without penalty. What is not clear is how the automated system calculates how many shots can you shoot and when a and when not it will count them. I got shot 2 times by one ally and he didnt become blue, I shot him 2 times and bacema blue so his friend came and killed me completly with 3 shots also without becoming blue. When you contact game support they tell you it's automated system and they can't do anything for you. How is that noone can do anything for me when I pay them to make my game be better? Not fair for anyone. Also your blue nicname lasts for few battles so you are like ok, let's forget this and let's play. You load into new game and boom, your ally shoots you with no reason whatsoever, just because you are blue. Again, noone from Wargaming will ever help you with anything. So if you want to play this game, don't play it competitively, just try to don't take it too seriously and for the love of god, never spend money on it, EVER. It won't do you any good and you will be able to leave the game unlike me. I spent alot so I can't leave it. It's horrible addiction that should be regulated by law.… Expand

Missions suck, long slog through the tiers and with the latest Iteration even WOT admits more than 50 bugs, maps disappear as well as tanks.     World of Tanks has changed a lot. It now has impressive graphics and physics, outrageous number of tanks and great match-making. Definitely worth a try even if you've played it some time before.

WoT is pay to get stats to win. dont be fooled by youtubers like quickybaby he is full of **** as he is in fact a paying player. i will give you an example: my "stats" suck i dont pay. mm consistantly ( this mornign alone 5 battles 5 losses) thus lowering my stats giveing me worse and worse games. the kinds of teams i get are teams that go full on retard lemming to one side of the map, to make things worse these lemmings are the players with the supposedly better stats and at the end of the battle they are already wiped leaving players like myself swarmed by almost the full entirety of the enemy team. so, if you ahvent played it dont, if you are thinking about playing it again dont, avoid this believe me after consistant losses you to will be wondering why you bothered to try it in the first place ( especially when you start paying money on prem tanks and buying in game gold and credits ( credits are earned but can also be bought and credits is how you resupply and repair your tank) . right now i cant play any tank past tier VII and then my credits fluctuate startign at 1 mill can be at 20k in about a week and then they will slowly build back up provided i have a prem account otherwise they will go dry… Expand

The longer you play the less in game currency you make, to the point of turning a loss, and the grind is interminable at the top. (A rule violation that got me banned instantly) Not only did he not get banned but his name did not turn blue ( in game when a player shoots another player , now, their name turns blue to indicate they are in violation of game rules) In the ticket area in wargaming.net they conveniently state in ticket body quote * " Teamkilling/Friendly Fire is handled in game in real-time through the automated Team Damage system" In other words wargaming will not do anything about it and most importantly if this so called system did not punish player that means they are being allowed to break the rules arbitrarily. this also means that wargaming.net prohibits players from reporting other players for killing them in match, that gaming system will not punish (blatant arbitrary punishment system) they are very selective as to whom they will apply their rules to. From my experience in game i have been in many matches with employees, Big cash$ real money spenders and friends of theirs. I have seen that these individuals never are subject to the game rules. Its a wonder they are allowed to run this shady business in USA, this is highly suspect behavior.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This review will be based on tips on how to enjoy this game (from beginners to advanced players..you will learn about the game and how to play it):

    - spend 3 USD, no more, just to buy enough gold to be able to demount equipment when moving it from tank to tank. This will save your 100's of thousands of silver. Those 3 USD will last you years, if you dont spend the gold on other things. (10 gold for demounting a piece of equipment)

    - Grind Russian Heavy line for most forgiving tanks and most fun (people will tell you that Russ mediums are the best, but those are designed to take your money indirectly through high repair and ammo costs until you get so frustrated that you start to spend real money on premium accounts)

    - Play only tier 5 and 6 tanks because those are the most fun and DO NOT cost credits to play. Tier 7 and 8 are horribly imbalanced, and tier 9 and 10 while very fun, will cost you money in the end. Tier 1-4 are crap-shoot and tend to feature over powered premiums, where skilled players "seal-clubbing" the new players. Just rush through T1-4 as fast as you can.

    - Dont pay for premium tanks...you can get those for free by doing missions each month. You can play those when you have free premium account to make a lot of credits.

    - Do not under any circumstances consider that this is realistic sim. For example, German epic WW2 tanks which dominated WW2 battlefields, are in this game often combating against tanks which are introduced years after WW2 and are far more superior in armor and guns.

    - Never buy Premium account. WOT will from time to time give you free premium access for few days. Use those days to grind tier 5 tanks, combined with personal multipliers (you get those for free when playing or during xmas season)

    - always play with experience multiplier enabled, even if you play only for half hr. Those will increase your exp points earned up to 100% significantly reducing your time to open the next piece of equipment or the next tier tank (again, you get those for free by simply playing)

    - And last the most important point: DO NOT give into "Win rate" nonsense. WOT benefits highly of trolls who somehow see themselves as special for having above avg win rate. This in turns makes people to think that they have to pay2win. In reality this is the most ridicules means to measure ones skill in the game, and it is completely meaningless, compared to K/D ratio or total damage, which is far more reflecting personal skill and what the other games use.

    Otherwise, tanks are really nicely modeled with lots of HD features. Maps will also get a face lift with HD features in the near future.

    realy boring and grindy game, take ages to get new tanks that then are junk and not much different from each other, i would recomend playing battlefield 3-4 instead those are much beter and good looking games and beter engine, wot uses only single core, and it is pay to win. This game sells ammo for real money.

    But the new American premium Chrysler K GF is just retardedly overpowered as hell. There is no way to justify all those new tanks - Liberte, Patriot, Defender, Chrysler K GF; that they are not a means for WG to make their money-grab attempt.

Too bad, because the ability to do so will often be broken for DAYS without any announcement or explanation, until you contact CS, who tell you basically nothing. Not worth any investment.

    2) Pay-to-play - keep in mind that you will have to buy a premium tank if you want to grind credits fast and to train your crew members fast. The higher tier - the better (tier VIII premiums are the best obviously).
    3) Pay-to-play - you sometimes need to shoot premium ammo, and that is more expensive than regular ammo. Similar with other premium stuff, they are better than regular.
    4) Pay-to-win - Last generation (2017) of premium tanks is **** OP or very near that state. If you are still able to buy one of those tanks, you will be able play and win more easely. Some of the famous YouTubers called them "idiot-proof tanks" :) They are OP or near OP in tier VIII and tier IX. Even tier X will have some trouble to get you down.
    5) Pay-to-win - by introducing such OP **** tanks, WG is forcing all players to shoot premium gold ammo more often. Therefore, you will have to buy premium tanks and account more often so you can take some impact in those fights, because you will get weak credit incomes.
    I'm sure there are more stuff going wrong with this game. I pointed out just some of the most important out there.
    BTW, a company that doesn't give a **** about Community Contributors, streamers and players/clients, as long as they are milking the money from them... No comment. Congrats!
    Day by day, game is becoming more and more useless. Unless you want to give real money to some company like WG and then you will realise youre just another gamer who was tricked. Don't waste money or time on this. Life is much better without this cancer. Trust me on that. Cheers!    … Expand

    and if all of this isn't enough, you can buy gold ammo.. its pretty much ammo that penetrates everything, only a kid of 8 years would not be able to pen with that.
    what makes armor total crap in this game, ive been playing this game for over 4 years, i stopped 1 year ago.. and then i calculated how much money i had spend on this.. over 2000€ in total for these 4 years.... premium account every month with my phone, a couple of premium tanks and allot of gold because the grinding gets old.. lol sorry xD    … Expand

    This game is awesome! It's a fun and addicting game that I think deserves better reviews than it has. It has good graphics, gameplay, and an awesome variety of tanks. my only complaint is that it does get a lot harder to earn XP at higher tiers. Other than that, it's an amazing game.

    Top Tier (Tier 9-10) is a complete cancer exp and money earning level. Unrealistic vehicle behaviours, nearly need for speed game style with poor graphics arcade game. Gameplay logic is very simple, find a big bush or tree, ambush in there until you see an enemy vehicle, than fire and escape from there to an other bush. Thats all... :P

Дальше донат, за хороший виртуальный набор пикселей придется отложить 3000 руб это на секундочку 120 долларов, неплохо, правда ведь? Теперь баланс, его там нет, описание баланса заканчивается. Теперь движок игры, за 7 лет он не обновлялся ни разу, а если задуматься на секундочку cs 1.6 вышла в 1999 году потом valve поняли что на этом движке им далеко не уехать и уже в 2004 году представили cs source, временной промежуток между этими играми 5 лет, разработчикам world of tanks 7 лет видимо ещё не достаточный срок нужно до 10 лет дотянуть. Теперь разработчики, только в компании wargaming.net существует такое наплевательское отношение к коммьюнити, начиная тех.поддержкой, заканчивая новыми багами, которые ещё не исправляют 2 недели после выхода обновления, также существует ЛРН-лучшие реплеи недели, в последних двух выпусках в числе победителей попали игроки с использованием запрещённых модификаций, выводы делайте сами.… Expand

Combine with flawless map designs, the variety of tanks and their features from their different behaviors even the different type of bullets and their travel times. It requires players to have an excellent knowledge of all those things to truly master a tank. That's the thing you can't acquire in just a few battles. Sure it takes the longer time to reach your goal. But this's very satisfied later, your skill will be sharpened. To a certain point, you can go back to your lower tier ripping apart your higher opponent when they're clumsy driving their 100$ bucks tanks and thinks they're invincible. That is the feeling I have when playing this game( not so many games achieved it like Wot), the feeling that your time spending on Wot is not going in vain and money do not have much impact in it. +Hacking and cheating are now banned and WG has heavy punishments for those who do so.Beside Wot can't be 'hack'. It's just mods that similar to it.
    +This is the game that is still developing. WG team put a huge effort into it, upgrade constantly to meet player demand not just put some events and ridiculous gifts like other.Out for several months,go back and you just like look into a new world.
    +Modern tanks are coming with modern weapons and technology that go with it.

It is a "free" game, but unless you pay lots of real money to convert the "free experience" you receive in drops and dribbles, you can't upgrade your tanks. Unless you have the best tanks you're simply a target for those who have paid the money and own them already. The game ensures this is true by manipulating theIt is simply a pay to win game. Unless you have the best tanks you're simply a target for those who have paid the money and own them already. The game ensures this is true by manipulating the matchups, which affects your personal "statistics"; a fact admitted by Wargaming and their lawyers. The claim is they manipulate the win rate to "encourage" players; but the reality does not support the claim. If you have bad personal statistics, then the worst thing about this game reveals itself, the absolutely hateful community assaults you during every game because you have "bad statistics" and you're the reason they lost, making the game a horrible experience. Every match consists of 15 players on a side, so you're actual contribution to every possible win is 1/30th statistically; and skill can not make up the other 29/30ths. Thus all new players learning the game without an experienced "guide" is assured to have "bad statistics" for months, years or possibly forever.
    The only way to avoid this scenario is IF you have, make or find a friend that belongs to a clan (a large group) of players who have already paid the price to be "top tier"; then you can improve your statistics by battling with a known group who won't criticize as much and already own the best tanks by spending alot of money and time.
    If you can't play this game as a member of a large successful clan from the start, then my heartfelt advice is to avoid this particular game and Wargaming.net in general.    … Expand

Matchmaking punishes free players and rewards gold/paying players in 3 out of 4 matches. Basically gold players are stacked to one side and the game becomes a boring turkey shoot. Now if WG ever decides to make a real game out of their tank simulator I might look it up and finally pay them something.     Many issues that have made World of Tanks a failure currently is the stunted development of new tank trees, but the emergence of a lot of premium tanks. Nothing wrong with premium tanks but in 2015 and 2016 currently they have added more premium tanks than researchable tanks and will continue to do so and no one tells them this is a bad idea. The sudden nerfs to all premium tanks after they are bought from players and lose their unique qualities. No new maps but promised new maps. Terrible map rotation, that annoys everyone. Campers are rewarded through the bad map design and the camo rating which is still insanely broken and rewards people who have higher lvl crews than lower lvlcrews, basically rewarding people who play more have premium instead of rewarding people who have skill. Paying for extra barracks is a scam and is muddled with the free premium tanks given out to try where those avatars now sit in the barracks without even given the option. I have 0 out of 32 barracks but their are 135 crew but I can't do anything as I need to spend all this gold on getting a bigger barracks for high level crews but feel scammed as I have to spend money on both garage space and barracks which is not right.

    The communities stand on criticism. Their stand on criticism is to censor anything against the pro quota and mods do this daily. The community is making things worst as they allow for WoT to follow this shaky path and give them their blessings. The Youtuber's who play WoT who don't call out wargamming for shady and unethical business decisions while still saying to their viewers their on your side when it doesn't feel like that at all.

    Last the patches are lazy and wargamming have been saying for two years now they are too busy making hd models of tanks than implementing new content for people to play in the game and have this as a higher priority than new content. Content is no where to be seen and is not thoroughly reviewed or given good feedback this is due to the main WoT Youtuber's agree every single time. 2016 WoT can be summed up with Wargamming adding new sounds to the game and this is something the community should look forward to get when other developers wouldn't blink twice about something that seems common sense but here it's a big deal.

THE COMPANY ONLY WANTS MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE, PUTTING MORE BUNDLES AND NEW PREMIUM TANKS ON THE TABLE WHILE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO MAKE THE GAME ENJOYABLE TO PLAY. All the other positive review were written simply because they were not deep into the game enough to know all the bad things of this game.

    On the other side, there's a MatchMaking regulation. This will try to calibrate your winrate to 50% (this explains that there are almost no players with 70% linke in other games). So if you played one day very well, let's say 20 games with a daily winrate of 80%, then the next day you WILL lose, you will stuck in bad team as lowtier (with every tier the tanks become more powerful. in general you don't have any chance against a tank 2 tiers above) and this the whole day.
    And this is the problem: think of it you got some spare time and want to play some hours this game, but then the mechanics forces you to lose all the time. this is frustrating.

If you do you're setting yourself up for heartache. You will play many hours and spend money (much money) getting a crew to tier 10. Then comes WOT's ongoing scam. Then comes WOT's ongoing scam. One day you'll open your account and your tier 10 tank is no longer there. Instead its replaced. This in itself isn't that big a deal considering they have the right to alter...or delete tanks...but here's the scam: the tank they replace it with will be so bad ...so inferior...you won't want to play it...and therefore have to start once again (thereby spending more money). Don't believe me? Check the changes they've made over the last two years alone. This is a fact...every time. In the customers mind its about value. In WOT its about the scam of a dollar. Making it worse...Not only have they replaced a tank that in so inferior and so insignificant in a battle, they will actually still try to blow smoke up your ass by telling you how good it is. Seriously, they will sell you a Volkswagen but proclaim its a Porsche. In short, its a scam and fraudulent. So just beware when it happens to you...and if you play long enough... it will. Play for free and you're only out the hours you put into it. Know that. I've seen it several times, and learned the hard way last week. Here's the perfect example; a tier 10 WT replaced by a grill...one of the worst tanks in the game...shoot once and you're dead. You've been warned. Play for free but don't spend your money.… Expand

    4. all they ask for is money money money!!!!! this game is not skill based, not at all, it's based on who plays the longer and who pays more, if you pay you easily get more skills, more equipment. and a lot of less trouble, no the gold ammo is not a huge advantage and premium tanks are worse then normal ones, BUT! they let you have a crew of like 5 skills while int he same time a normal user will barely have 2 skills

    5.They only pay attention to graphics, they constantly update graphics, add stupid football with a tank modes which is ridicules, but don't even spend a second on balance or anything. If this game was made by a normal developer or a good company like blizzard or something, It would be one of the best games ever! I mean it has so much potential. shooting with a tank is a really different experience then anything else! I mostly play rtos or other things but this is different, I actually don't have the slightest interest in tanks but in here the angle matters, you can get your crew damaged or your modules, you have to hide your tanks hull, other stuff, it's so much fun! but as I was saying

    6. The mechanics. yes..... I have been playing this for 2 years and i know, but Many times i have seen O-Is (worst camo) not even get spotted from 50m, yes they should get proxy spotted at that distance no matter what but they don't. and my sixth sense is just random. it sometimes does't work!

    there are many problems with this games the spotting is hilarious. the penetration mechanics are faulty but only a little, the main problem is spotting

    7. The rng... some day, you wake up, you don't aim somehow your shells magically follow the target even if you miss you hear (with hit them hard!) but after like 6 hours you log in again, and your shells go even outside the circle, and you fully aim, then your shell just goes to another direction, eventhing is against you you get spotted no matter what. it's just luck

    8. the matches, theres only random and most of the time it's like this 15 kills red 3 kills. either a fast and easy victory which is not fun at all. either an awful lose which you don't get the chance to do anything!

    It combines aspects of great RPG games and first person shooters, wraps them into a package that will appeal to the historian, and tosses in a dash of addiction to combine into one great final product.
