Nov 27, 2017Whether you’ve played past titles in the franchise or not, World of Final Fantasy is a seriously strong JRPG that any fan of the genre should get a kick out of. Emotional, hilarious and deep, it proves yet again that a good RPG is about more than just thwarting a world-ending menace - it’s about the journey and everyone who makes it worthwhile.

Dec 11, 2017World of Final Fantasy has some great gameplay design that honors the traditional turn-based role-playing game structure. The additional Pokemon elements of capturing and cultivating the mirages creates motivation to keep the ball rolling, even if you’re grinding out the gameplay a bit. The gameplay certainly isn’t perfect, as the younger audience that Tose and Square Enix are trying to reach rears its head in the gameplay structure once in awhile through the game's flow and simplicity, but World of Final Fantasy is diverse and deep enough to keep the excitement going from beginning to end. Just come prepared with a good GPU to push it on the PC.

Nov 29, 2017World of Final Fantasy is a great spin-off, spoiled by some calibration defects and by its perhaps being a bit too silly.

Jan 8, 2018Spin-off or not, and not going into long-winded arguments for and against, the game does some things better than some of the latest main series entries. The turn-based combat is not only welcome, but it’s implemented on a level that surpasses the nostalgic legacy of it. Also, the writing is worth of a praise. As one half of the twins myself (with a brother though, not a cute thing like Reynn!), I really appreciate the banter between Reynn and Lann. It’s so fun, acute and savvy! World of Final Fantasy might be a bit of a slow burner, as it takes some time to get familiar with it, but when it opens up, you’ll be lost in the beauty of it, hunting mirages and resolving the mystery of the twins and the world around them.

Dec 3, 2017For those who haven't yet had the chance to play it, the PC port of World of Final Fantasy might be the perfect occasion to dive in the world of Grymoire. However we must also warn you about the lack of some graphical settings, the absence of 4K Widescreen resolutions and the fixed 30 FPS, even with higher resolutions; if all of this doesn't represent a problem then you can test yourself with this adventure without worries.

Nov 30, 2017This is more Final Fantasy that you could expect. It's beautiful, deep and very classic in many aspects. A fusion between FF concepts that fans mustn't miss.

Nov 30, 2017World of Final Fantasy arrives on Steam with a somewhat lazy porting: you can't really customize your visual experience but you can turn some ridiculous cheats on and off. That being said, World of Final Fantasy plays well and it's fun and engaging now as it was on PlayStation 4.

Mar 20, 2018If you can get over the fact that the presentation of the PC version isn't that much better than the PS4 version, you'll find World of Final Fantasy to be a very good RPG for all ages. It maintains a delicate balance between being simple enough to understand while also having the necessary depth for players who want it.

Nov 30, 2017Even though combat is a tad repetitive and the freedom to explore and deviate from the linear progression lacking, WORLD OF FINAL FANTASY remains enjoyable. The multitude of mirages to collect and features like "stacking" add much value to gameplay, with the Coliseum and Tearoom going a step further by providing additional battles to tackle. If you’re a fan of JRPGs or of the Final Fantasy series, consider getting this one.

Nov 27, 2017Much of this review probably sounds negative, and that's a shame because World Of Final Fantasy is a fantastic throwback to earlier entries in the series and a damn good RPG in its own right. If you are ok with a 30 FPS cap and an experience that's the same as the PS4 version, then this PC port is perfectly playable. I've yet to encounter any technical bugs in my time with it and the art style makes up for the lack of graphical options in my opinion, just know going in that the port is lacking in several ways. If you are a fan of the franchise and didn't play it when it came out last year on other platforms, you probably won't be disappointed jumping in with this version.

Dec 1, 2017Cute, with a battle system that has more depth than it lets on, but the game's tone gets rather irritating.
