    I don't understand the low review scores from some users, because the game has great shooter mechanics, a real treat for run and gun players. You can also stealth through many parts, taking out the damn commanders before the call for backup. The story is appreciably better than many games, quickly establishing it's own identity.     Game is "unplayable": Get a computer built in this decade
    Game is "too easy": There is a reason the easy level shows character wearing a baby hat sucking a nipple
    Game is "unrealistic": Were you expecting, "Farm Simulator" or "Anna"? All you do is "Shoot" and "Kill People": ummm FPS... The game is fun, entertaining, and brings back to what made ID games great, pure FPS. Can't wait    Game is "unplayable": Get a computer built in this decade

    A brilliant single player experience, if you love Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Borderlands... you will UBER LOVE this.

    The gunplay is as good as the excellent story as well, all the guns feel useful, and the AI is great in Uber mode (not so great in lower modes however). Recommended to all who love a great shooter, awesome story and them Nazi killing feels. 10/10 (would be 9.5, but rounded up    A brilliant single player experience, if you love Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Borderlands... you will UBER LOVE this.

    Wolfenstein: The New Order is the best sequel in the Wolfenstein series at all. Bethesda’s team did really an excellent job in AI, storyboard and the atmospheric sound and locations are just breathtaking. In a nutshell: The game is and just looks great!

The 2009 Wolfenstein by Raven Software tried to introduce an open world game concept but failed badly in the execution. Yes, Wolfenstein The New Order is a CoD-like tunnel-shooter with a lot of scripting and cut scenes but this is what works best for a character likeThe first person shooter is back! Wolfenstein The New Order focuses on one thing: being an excellent first person shooter. The 2009 Wolfenstein by Raven Software tried to introduce an open world game concept but failed badly in the execution. Yes, Wolfenstein The New Order is a CoD-like tunnel-shooter with a lot of scripting and cut scenes but this is what works best for a character like B.J. Blazkowicz. The game feels more like the 2001 Return to Castle Wolfenstein but gives an immense insight in B.J. Blazkowicz's character. In Return to Castle Wolfenstein B.J. didn't say a single word while other characters have been talking. The parallel universe setting with a Nazi-Regime in the 1960's who won WWII in 1946 and even managed to visit the moon creates an extremely interesting environment to explore. The only thing that I missed in Wolfenstein The New Order was actually Hilter as the Ober-Boss. He was in the 1992 Wolfenstein 3D so why not in Wolfenstein The New Order as an old man in a gigantic robot suite? I also feel the game designers could have made more of the Jewish-Atlantis culture but maybe all of this will come in a sequel?… Expand

    Is it worth $59.99? Debatable, price tag aside. This game for what its worth is probably one of the better games I have played this year, if not the last as well. It really goes back to its roots when it first came out so many years ago, and they were able to create a system and story that is not only creative but entertaining. Who doesn't like shooting Nazis, I mean come on.

    This game was pretty amazing, I'm very impressed. Loved the ending. This is one of my favorite all time fps games now. Hopefully machine head games does a part 2 or tries to do another quake game since they handled wolfenstein so well

    One of the BEST FPS games of the last years. Graphics, sound, controls are great, but what is really superb is the story. An alternate route of history and most important of all (especially after this years euro-elections), it sends out a strong anti-nazi, anti-fascist message. Congrats to Bethesda. This is the way games are meant to be !

    This game is simply a blast, it's nothing like what I expected. This game is certainly not your average generic COD FPS shooter, but rather a really fun game, with a great story to back it up. The stealth works great, the guards don't just magically see you hiding behind something, or from a long distance, you can proper sneak right up to the Nazi scum and slit their necks.

    This is the best FPS I've played in years. It's easily one of the most interesting stories, not just because of the Nazi's, but because of the actual characters. They feel like real people, even the Nazi's talk about their familes and how they would like promotions. It's hands down one of the best games I've played in a while.

    Keep in mind, that as of the time of this review I have not played any other Wolfenstein game, including the much-remembered Wolfenstein 3D. Starting off with the gameplay, it handles fairly well for an old-school style FPS and the gunplay can often get frantic. My one minor complaint is that the game is fairly easy and even on the hardest difficulty I found it to be more on par with whatKeep in mind, that as of the time of this review I have not played any other Wolfenstein game, including the much-remembered Wolfenstein 3D. Starting off with the gameplay, it handles fairly well for an old-school style FPS and the gunplay can often get frantic. My one minor complaint is that the game is fairly easy and even on the hardest difficulty I found it to be more on par with what I expect from Normal difficulty, sprinkled in with some harder sections in between. Moving on to the story, it's fantastic. Excellent pacing and intriguing dialogue, and even the inclusion of a moral choice near the beginning of the game somewhat alters the story, which gives it some replay value if you are really invested in the characters. (P.S. Moral choices make me feel guilty about my decisions :C) Overall, it's an excellent story-driven FPS and I definitely recommend it.… Expand

The gun play is tight and engaging, the difficulty is fair (and very challanging on higher difficulty levels, requiring stealth and patience to prevail).     There is only one word that this game can be truly described in for its greatness and that word is awesome.

    Nothing bad or down ratted that i see in it and i just beat the game so nothing bad about it at all. I would vote 11/10 if i could.

    One of the best shooters of my life! Probably the best shooter of my life! Everything about the game is amazing except some graphical glitches which are absolutely ignorable. Great FPS. I love id tech engine.

    Finished Single Player Campaign in 22 hours. Awesome game, loved it, better than I expected it to be. The game just kept getting better as I played it. I will definitely play this again. Played on PC with GTX 780ti 3GB. Graphics are great and the game runs fast at 60 fps at 1440p. If you love id shooters, then you will love this game.

    I wasn't sure what to expect from this new release. I had played the original Wolfenstein back when it came in CD form! It took me a while to give in and try this new release. Wow, I'm SO glad I did. This New Order has a story and a plot, and it's not just a shoot'em up like the original. Excellent graphics and "playability" for sure. You actually relate to the main character. My onlyI wasn't sure what to expect from this new release. I had played the original Wolfenstein back when it came in CD form! It took me a while to give in and try this new release. Wow, I'm SO glad I did. This New Order has a story and a plot, and it's not just a shoot'em up like the original. Excellent graphics and "playability" for sure. You actually relate to the main character. My only complaint...TOO SHORT! I played it in only 12 hours and I wanted MORE! I hope Bethesda releases some DLC's that continue the saga. It would be great!… Expand

Clearly lots of effort put in by the devs, as there are tons of areas and items that are hidden throughout the game. Very solid and fun shooting mechanics as well as upgrade system.     What a fantastic game. Downloaded it from the marketplace, as i wanted a good single player game. Thats exactly what i got, but not good- extreamly good! What a truly fantastic story, with great voice acting. Not only that, but coupled with lots of collectibles, secret rooms, crazy weapons, and a crazy but effective twist on the ww2 setting- makes for an excellent game everybody shouldWhat a fantastic game. Wolfenstein: The New Order's story also stays interesting all throughout with the primary goal to hunt down and kill Death's Head. Characters have lifelike facial animation and emotion.     Great game, awesome story, superb comeback to old school while adding modern tweaks. The alternative timeline of history is engaging and has many nice subtleties, like German recordings of well known English hits.
    I also didn't notice texture loading bug from Rage when spinning around, so for me this is improvement over the Tech 5 engine.

    If you have an uncut version of game you can use activate the game with hotspot shield or another programs like this.When you play the game,just activate it then play.It works just fine.Great game great story,it gives everything you should expect from Old-School Shooter.

    I used to play the original wolfenstein as a kid both on an old gateway and then with a mac. Used to make my own levels with a friend and trade them during class with floppy disks. Wolfenstein is one of my all time favorite games. The couple wolfenstein games I played since those days have been mediocre at best. This one however is absolutely stunning. The first chapter left my jaw droppedI used to play the original wolfenstein as a kid both on an old gateway and then with a mac. The couple wolfenstein games I played since those days have been mediocre at best. This one however is absolutely stunning. The first chapter left my jaw dropped and I think it was as square as BJ Blaskowicz's by the end of it all. Amazing action: the way the controls handle is very good. Great attention to detail in the environment, very satisfying combat. Very intelligent game from the characters to the story with great nods to the older game, especially the throwback first level of the return to castle wolfenstein! Honestly, this game was an incredible surprise. So good. Made me really happy I wrote this review.… Expand

    Highest settings keeps fluidity, awesome atmosphere, I love the characters. It really brings me back to the first Wolfenstein episodes

    Solid story, funny dialogues, and action fps with no excessively tricky parts, 10 / 10 for me, it was a long time since my last fps, thanks for taking me out of Diablo grinding :)

    I had my doubts about this next Wolfenstein title, not going to lie. But after playing it, even for 30 minutes, I could tell it was a very well done game. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is smooth, the story is intriguing, but the overall performance can be frustrating at times. Yes, it is a single player only game but it's a Wolfenstein game nonetheless. Don't skip this game. RentI had my doubts about this next Wolfenstein title, not going to lie. In the last 5-10 years we really have seen a decline of the FPS genre due to the hyper realism that has been introduced into it. Shooters use to be about having fun and blowing $hit up, unfortunately the industryI've been using Metacritic for years but I rarely ever review. This game and the direction it took makes me feel obligated to make a review for the sake of the gaming industry. In the last 5-10 years we really have seen a decline of the FPS genre due to the hyper realism that has been introduced into it. Shooters use to be about having fun and blowing $hit up, unfortunately the industry has moved away from its original roots to its detriment. Wolfenstein TNO may just be able to wind back the clock. This game is about having fun in a solid combat system, combined with good characters and a sturdy storyline. The gunplay is amazing, I have played this on Uber mode, i've collected all the items and finished the second storyline and still keep coming back for more, simply because it is fun to play (the same feeling I had playing Painkiller years ago). The game isn't amazing graphics wise but it is good enough and there has been issues for some users who I feel terrible for and hope they release a patch for them soon. Machine Games should be proud of themselves, it would be so easy in this day and age to throw on a half-a$$ed multiplayer just for the sake of it but they haven't. They stood true to their original goals of creating a solid singleplayer experience with a good mix between old school/modern shooter features and have pulled it off well. I very rarely pre-order games, maybe 1 a year if that but I did for this game and I wasn't let down. I hope for the ET fans out there the success of this game leads to a multiplayer standalone or spin off and everyone gets what they want. Overall this game is probably a 8-9 out of 10 but i'm going to give it a 10 simply due to the fact I think this is a step in the right direction for the future of the FPS genre and I need to reward a company who goes against the grain with the right motivation at heart.     Fun, Fast, Violant and Gritty. and a decent homage to the old FPS games, ive really enjoyed the 12+ hours campaign, game reminds me of the quake and riddick games. a very nice surprice game in the middle of all the over hyped crap games, nice work Bethesda and ID

    I wasn't expecting much from this but have not had so much enjoyment from a game in a long time. I think it is the best FPS I have played for years. Unashamedly old-school and at times very silly, Wolfenstein is the game that Duke Nukem should have been. In a market where over-hyped tedium like Watchdogs gets the sales it is worth remembering that games are supposed to be fun. Buy.

    One of the best FPS games on the market. What surprised me a lot was just how short the the is - it took me less than 8 hours to complete the whole campaign, therefore not quite sure why this game has over 40 Gigabytes

Unlike the latest Call of Duty junk(take a good game, butcher it and you'll get COD:Ghosts) this game gives player an option to go slow and stealth or go fast and furious based on one's mood. The story line is rich and long with smooth transitions between cutscenes and action. Unlike other pretenders give you a cutscene at the end of a level, this game has cutscenes throughout each level which keeps the story flowing and levels long and elaborate.

    Loved this game. I could not stop playing it, I just needed to see what happened next and then before I knew it 3 hours went by. This game is not short, it took me 15 hours to beat it on Uber. It was challenging and had a magnitude of different enemies to defeat. The story, plot, and character development is amazing. When a character died, for example, I couldn't wait to get my hands onLoved this game. I could not stop playing it, I just needed to see what happened next and then before I knew it 3 hours went by. This game is not short, it took me 15 hours to beat it on Uber. It was challenging and had a magnitude of different enemies to defeat. The story, plot, and character development is amazing. When a character died, for example, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the slimy little *%&# that killed him/her and beat his head in. *Mhh hmmm* As you can tell, The game lets you feel attached to the characters. You just want to see them prevail, but as always, victory always has it's casualties.

    The wall and object textures are lackluster, but the character models are just beautiful. The objects on a table aren't acually THERE there they are just drawn on. Some times you will see a pencil drawn on a desk and it's almost hysterical. But that didn't bother me. I'm not the graphics and "Next-Gen" type of guy so I appreciate the developers for what they did. Even if they did cut some corners. MachineGames never did anything to the game that brought me out of the immersion, I was always focused and ready to bring the free-world back.

    It took me untill just a few days ago to buy this game and wow i cant believe i waited that long. This is by far one of the best single player FPS games i have played.

    There is two things that i would give this game a small minus for and thats first of all the volume of the voices in certain cutscenes being too low and also the start of the game is being a bit slow.     With the slow start that the prologue was and also the issues with low voice sounds in the cutscenes i was a bit dissapointed but lets just say after the prologue the game really starts and wow its incredibly well done, the story, voiceacting, characters, gameplay the surroundings and so on. These developers together with Bethesda knows what they are doing.

    If you are looking for a a good FPS single player game with great story you should pick this up. There is also this new Wolfenstein: The Old Blood coming out soon and im pretty damn sure thats going to be just as good as this if not even better.    … Expand

    Playing this game is like going back to the single player classics from the nineties but with the graphics of today. I'm so glad they put all the effort on the single player story. Some people will tell that is not worth paying 60 for a 15 hours-long story, I tell them that I prefer that, to play the same maps over and over again as they do in their MP games.

    I`ll give it a 10,but i am kinda disapointed because it does not have Multiplayer Mode,which i`ve seen in most of Wolfenstein games.I hope Machine Games will release a patch that will add a multiplayer mode.But,the 20 hrs of stunning gameplay ,beautiful graphics...it worth the 49.99 $ i`ve payed for it.

    I found the game fun and challenging with much homage to the original games. Fast guns blazing hilarious action or stealth knife kills you get to do it all. Dual wield mayhem is a rush. It's a mature themed game to be sure the Nazi's are not holds barred evil and portrayed very true to life and creed. My only gripe was having no auto pickup on guns armor and ammo.

    Although not bringing masses to the fps market, Wolfenstein is propped up by successful writing, plot and graphics. The characters are relatable and Wolfenstein is an overall very good game.

    This game is waaay better than I expected. I was expecting an on-rails generic shooter. What I got was a semi-open, charming, eerie, exciting shooter with stealth elements. Not bad! And the story is good! This is one of the few game where I am actually looking forward to hearing more of the story through the cutscenes.

    I am very happy I decided to buy this game. Certainly lives up to it's name.

    The storyline, for video game standards, is nothing short of spectacular - With great pacing, deep, well written characters, good construction, mature themes, astonishing at times attention to detail, excellent voice-acting; New Order can really engage the player emotionaly, something that very few games achieve, and is probably one of the very first shooters that based its storyline primarly on character developement rather than an overly complex plot. It's like watching a good movie or reading a well-written sci-fi novel.

    Altough be warned the game sometimes is one the border of good taste. It's sort of a deconstruction of camp - It takes all the cliche wacky nazis tropes and plays them absolutely seriously. What results can be interpreted as a slap in the face of all the chessy nazisploitation media like Iron Sky, Inglorious Basterds or even the previous Wolfenstein games (no hate here - I love all of the mentioned, but trivialising nazism is a fault prevelant in all of them). With its dark, opressive atmosphere, Wolfenstein is one of the heaviest and most depressing games I played - Be prepared for that, in case you are counting for silly Hitler on a jetpack.

    Other than the story, Wolfenstein offers very solid gameplay organicaly connected with stealth elements, as sneaking, slow, tactical shooting and dual-wielding rampages all have their place and time in the gameplay. The guns feel great, sound great, the player movement is excellent (brilliant leaning mechanic), enemy AI is agressive and actively tries to kill - It makes for one hell of core gameplay. The levels are large (game took me almost 15 hours to complete), open for exploration and varied, the visuals, while technicaly only decent, are extremely well done aestheticaly and very detailed. Sound design is impressive, and the music is one of the best I've heard in shooters. In a world filled with orchestras and huge electronics, you need huge balls to base your game's mood on calm and beutiful melodies played on a accoustic guitar.

    The game's not without it's flaws, however. I found one or two levels to be slightly below the game's average in terms of gameplay and suspense. Some transitions between cutscenes and gameplay are less fluent than they could be, and once or twice the change of story location occurs a bit too rapidly. There are some minor technical issues, and the pop-in of objects at the edge of the screen is really something that shouldn't be in the game. Dual-wielding can be problematic as the game sometimes can't divide ammo between weapons. Lastly, I wish there would have been more guns in the game. The ones that are in all have their place and role and you are encouraged to switch between them depending on situation rather than stick to your favourite one, but given the setting one would hope to find one or two guns crazy not only in their design, but in function as well.

    In conclusion, technicaly, the game deserves a strong 8. However, due to the amazing storyline, I raise the score by two bars. This is the direction I would love shooters to take, and I want to see more games as engaging and ambitious as this one. Thus, a 10/10.    … Expand

The game is flat out gorgeous, there's a depth of color in the lighting and shadows that I've never seen before that make the environments look amazing. It's just fun.     From fighting Nazis on land, in a U-Boat and to the MOON! A truly interesting twist on history but with realistic elements still left to give it relevance to what really happened. Wolfenstein: The New Order is a worthy follow up to Return to Castle Wolfenstein. If you enjoyed the RtCW, then you will wnat to play this sequel.

This is the correct way to combine modern shooters with classic ones. I'm sure they will eventually fix these issues because every game has issues on release. I have not completed the campaign yet, but as far in as I am, I'm already attached mentally and physically to this game. I was expecting a mediocre, bland Wolfenstein game but I was proven extremely wrong because this game is incredibly good. For everything, I give this game 10/10! The Nazi regalia art deco style thrived off creative and believable level design. That is to say, the graphics are stunning and tuned to the story as much as old great titles a Half-life or Golden Eye were. There is such fine detail that the weapon models are different for the era and location.

    The characters brought the game to life with beautiful true to the moment animations. The animations were cinematic throughout the game. The tempo and pacing of the voice acting over the animations were fluid and felt real. The outlandish game had a believable band of characters that truly came to life beyond previous standards.

    The mechanics offers fairly tight shooting while the gameplay offers various styles of play; Stealth, Run-and-Gun, Explosives. You could go cover hopping while dual wielding rocket launchers or silently takedown enemies with special knife attacks or equipping a silenced pistol to avoid alarms. However, you can mortally wound a foe by throw a knife into his foot.

    The AI was ok. The soldier enemies used cover well and the heavily armored foes close the gap and cause a lot of trouble for your health bar. I did encounter enemies that tried to throw grenades through pillars killing themselves and anyone nearby.

    Often considered related to AI is the difficulty options. There are five to choose from harkening back to the original Wolfenstein in theme. I only played the 'Uber' difficulty so, I don't know how much the experience differs. The maximum difficulty felt like less of a challenge and more of it took a lot of bullets to kill everything other than yourself making shotguns the bane of your existence.

    All in all, I know I raved about the story-telling being amazing, and I mean it. On my first play through I felt like I was watching a two-hour film you would gladly pay $20 to see. Instead, I got a 15 hour experience for $60 dollars, that I could watch again with different mechanics, levels, and characters.

    I highly recommend this game. Fair warning, this game is rated 17 plus. Contains a lot of violence and gore. Also, has some, believe it or not, tasteful sex scenes.    … Expand

    Those giving yellow and red scores on this game are either trolls or immature people who wouldn't like a game if it was free and made of gold.

    Graphics and colours are great, Sound/Music is atmospheric.

    A game driven by a fantastic plot and backed up by solid shooting mechanics, Wolfenstein is easily my favourite shooter of the year thus far. The graphics aren't crazy good but they're still good nonetheless. If you like old school shooting or history twists then make sure to get this game.

    It has everything that a good game should have starting with NOT taking itself to seriously. There are some absolutely crazy elements and weird machines, insane gun play (dual shotgun? sure!), and an absurd story line. Sure, it might not be an ambitious game and it may have almost no depth in it, but at the same time it is simply FUN to play - not a common thing these days!

    Great classic (in its best) FPS! Great level design often reminded me Quake 1/2, Half-Life 1/2. Very fluent game-play and story-line, the quality of the game is constant during all game. I had no technical issues. Enemy AI is pretty good and can take you from behind if they can. I'm really enjoying the game and will run through it the second time, using more aggressive game style.

    Finally, a good story on a FPS! This blows every single Call of Duty and Battlefield storyline clean out of the water. The graphics are decent, but the gameplay is phenomenal. So much fun around every corner and it doesn't get old.

    There is nothing like kicking Nazi ass.

    They had made the game that gave me back the love to the single player shooters. This shooter is with action, stealth and the opportunity to make different choices. The plot is awesome, the alternative world that can bring you in game is perfect, the characters and a lot of more are done on a highest level. Good job!!!

    I absolutely loved this game. From start to finish it was a roller coaster of powerful storytelling and solid gameplay. The characters in this game were memorable, the satirical humour was hilarious and when the story stirred emotion it would hit you hard. In terms of the gameplay, there isn't much new to the fps genre but with some modern tweaks to it, it kicked ass!! It's gruesome andI absolutely loved this game.     This game was A Fantastic game. Enjoyed every bits and bytes of it! It has a great story, great graphics and it was wrapped up with a well made, well thought game engine. Played it TWICE! Game play was amazing.     Gameplay: The shooting mechanics themselves are solid as a rock. Each gun gets it's own secondary firing function which you unlock gradually.     Gameplay: The shooting mechanics themselves are solid as a rock. Each gun gets it's own secondary firing function which you unlock gradually. Some of the weapons you don't even open fully until the very end of the game, so you're always getting something new to play with. You also have skill trees, which unlock bonuses for performing certain objectives in your play style. Like to run and gun? It'll reward you by giving you bonuses for that. Like to play stealth? Same deal. The great thing is when you die, you don't lose what you did previously. Example : Get an extra knife in your sheath by performing 25 stealth knife kills. Now if you killed 5 guys in that run and died, it doesn't reset on you.

    Graphics: Graphics are good. I'm not a huge graphics guy, so I don't really have much to add to it. No screen tearing, no slow down, every thing visually is good.

    Story: This is where the game shines. The story is almost something out of a Tarantino movie. It has an outrageous plot, but it's taken seriously. You care about every character (there's even a scene early on where you can make a pivotal choice with your crew that changes the way the entire game plays out) and the love story between you and the female lead is something mature and not silly. I mean, it's an alternative time line where the Nazi's rule the world in the 60's using technology such as mechs, lazers, flying fortresses, etc. But surprisingly enough it still manages to be completely serious and compelling. There's a train scene that has as much tension to it as the opening "The Jews are like the rat" scene from Inglorious Basterds.

    I recommend picking this up. I almost feel spoiled now for the rest of the year because I know I won't be getting something of this quality for awhile. You WILL NOT regret it.    … Expand

    This game is EPIC. It incorporates stealth and planning with a nice balance of full on warfare. It has an immersive story and great game play mechanics. This game is a must-buy for any FPS or stealth lover.

    2 Game Play & Mechanics: There are two different ways to play this game through most of it. You can run & gun all day long make lots of noise with HUGE! guns & let mayhem & carnage reign supreme or you can take the semi new addition stealth sneak up behind the enemy kill the commander before he has time to call in Reinforcements The stealth element is surprisingly well done and the kills are extremely satisfying. (Much better then metro last lights stealth elements) The game allows you to chose which play style you like. Mechanics wise there are perks that can be unlocked to provide bonuses, such as faster reloads and greater magazine capacity etc. The perks can be useful but aren't really needed in this game.

    3 Artificial Intelligence: The AI is no dummy in this game a single gun shot or the wrong step or noise can set off a alarm screwing your entire stealthy tatics not to mention if they hear a dog attack they know you're there & if you're playing run & gun you'll find yourself restarting a little more then anticipated because they will actually go looking for you if they know you're there once a alarm has been tripped they are on alert. It's not the best AI I've ever seen but machine games did a very good job at making the game difficult but enjoyable.

    4 In Game Options: The in game visual options are sadly a tad bit lacking with only a few options these would be Graphics Quality, VT Cache Size, VT Compress, MAX PPF, Shadow Resolution, Deapth Of Field which can't be turned entirely off, Screen Spaced Reflection, Additional Quality Settings & Haze Flare & A FOV slider, Very simple but they get the job done. You can't bind 1 key to lean left or right which is sad but you do get a toggle lean which allows you to look up & over down & about or left & right it takes some getting used tro but it's not actually that bad. The rest is very simple key bindings resolution & sadly no audio controls except for master volume it would have been nice to be able to force the game to run in surrounf instead of what windows runs default but hey again it gets the job done & it's nothing that really effects game play.

    5 Stealth: Now for some this is a touchy subject many people have said "It looks like metro last lights stealth" well yes & no its no splinter cell or thief game, But you can't just kill somebody right in front of another AI enemy whilst their back is turned because if the two enemies are cloes together or within their peripheral vision they will notice it so stealth is a bit touchy in this game but it does a great job with it. It's actually pretty hard to do stealth on uber mode & it does a much better job then metro last lights stealth elements.

    6 Weapons: Everything from Unreal Tournament's flak cannon to underslung rockets on your assault rifles this games gun play is beyond satisfying dual wielding Unreal Tournament's flak cannons? HELL YES!!!! the guns are loud, proud & HUGE! just like you would expect in a 1990's shooter. Weapon upgrades can be found throughout the game's levels & each one of them offering something fun.

    7 The World & It's Story: Visually this game surprised me the graphics of the world are compelling & lots of atmosphere especially the moon level visually again the textures are very good I don't think I have seen a single texture over used all be it not the best graphics but definitely better then a lot of games these days. Trapped in a vegetative state for 14 years, Wolfenstein hero B.J. Blazkowicz awakens to a 1960 dominated by Nazis and a life no-longer solely defined by the killing of them. A alternate history reality where nazis won world war 2. The story is very compelling & it gets you hooked in imediately especially if you're a scifi nut and/or history nut I don't want to ruin much but the ending is sad.

    8 The Characters & BJ's Relationshhips With Them: I can't help but feel drawn into the world of wolfenstein the new order because of the way the characters react to you & what's going on around them there is just a lot of emotion between you & all the others lots of sadness lots of love lots of hatred & anger. New characters introduced just in time to die tragically, old war buddies now confined to wheelchairs, a ragtag band of misfits overcoming adversity and making a stand. You get to see a side of BJ as well filled with remorse over an early-game choice. During slower moments to his innermost thoughts reflections on childhood traumas and dreams for the future. & if you sit & listen in stealth mode for a bit the nazis will have convos about real world issues they actually have a personality. I can't help but feel drawn into the world of wolfenstein the new order. My rating 10 out of 10 keyboards.    … Expand

    The story is absolutely fantastic, bloody gorgeous.
    The gameplay is absolutely addictive, bloody and top notch mechanics.
    I was pretty sceptical playing this game, but seriously, best one I've played in a loooong time.

    I enjoyed Wolfenstein: The New Order even more than Half Life 2. The story is just great and interesting and it lasted long enough. I absolutely loved playing this game except that the boss battle was slightly annoying.

    Altogether the game is dynamic with actions which alternate well infiltration or shooting. A rather reactive IA (mode uber) which can surprise the player. Then the graphics is very correct and the well detailed maps if one stopped for all to visit:)

You end up crashing you plane out side of deaths heads compound and after an extreme Nazi kill streak you end up falling along with the rest of you squad into Deathshead's human experimentation laboratory. after escaping into another room and fighting a Supersoldaten 1946 version you get trapped in the room by deaths head and knocked out after the room almost crushes you. when BJ awakes he in the lab where is Deathshead forces Blazkowicz to choose who he will gruesomely kill Fergus or Wyatt before leaving Blazkowicz and the survivor to die in the laboratory's emergency incinerator. after this you escape the laboratory but Blazkowicz suffers a critical head injury rendering him unconscious.… Expand

Worked through and not corridor-like levels, pick-ups, bosses, brutal battles at dizzily high speed we all missed so much since early 2000s are now back together with today's probably most fascinating arcade shooting mechanics, gun modifications, perks, stealth and freeplay elements. Amazing design and universe will keep you exploring, staring at devices, vehicles, posters and reading newspapers and after all, believe in the world beyond the corridors of the levels.And that is a rare and extremely important achievement. I have not had such an experience for years, and for that I am thankful to Machinegames. Quite a touching, long and insignificantly, but branching story will only fasten the impression. Voice acting deserves additional praise. Germans speak good and correct German, Poles speak Polish, and when both try to speak English, we hear correct and realistic accent. British speak British English, Americans - the American way. May be not really much of an achievement nowadays, but I literally experienced a linguistic orgasm. Flavour all that with awesome soundtrack and you'll get one of the most influential shooters of the last years. Only graphics might spoil this game for you: idTech 5 simply made me hate it with its dynamic resolution textures and shadowmaps and consider it to be one of the worst modern game engines. Looks like nothing is to be done: the industry is far not the same, Carmack is not the same, and now he isn't even at id Software, so I've little hope at idTech 6.     I loved this game and am looking forward to replaying now that I've just finished. I found the characters and story really entertaining, I actually liked the characters and wanted to help them. The gameplay was brutal and challenging enough to have me cursing at it a few times, but with a few re-tries on some sections I learned ways to survive, which was satisfying.     Flawless, couldn't find one problem with the game. If you love shooting Nazi soldiers in the most grotesque way possible then this is the game for you. The game mechanics feel like I'm using a controller on my PC (even though I'm using mouse and keyboard) and that's not a bad thing, it makes it more fun and less a competitive nature. If you are mature this game is fine however there are aFlawless, couldn't find one problem with the game. If you love shooting Nazi soldiers in the most grotesque way possible then this is the game for you.     Wolfenstein: The New Order tells an alternative story about how Germany has invaded the world. If you like History, this game will be fascinating for you. But if you like FPS, it's a good one as well. Overall, Wolfenstein: TNO was pretty interesting and I have beaten this game a few times because it's cool.

This incarnation sees you as that monkey wrench in theWolfenstein: The New Order represents a triumph in single-player FPSs, and has all the necessary elements I desire in a videogame: intense combat, large, loud and powerful weapons, excellent characters, engaging plot and above all, a sense of being the one unforseen variable in the bad guy's plan, however powerful, however intelligent. This incarnation sees you as that monkey wrench in the strict order of the most terrifying government imaginable: a world where the Nazis won World War 2, leaving them free to impose their irredeemably twisted ideology on everybody. But they and their sinster General "Deathshead" made the most fatal error of all: Believing one B.J. Blaskowicz down and out. As the genre's original badass, you will wreak holy havoc with an arsenal of dual-wieldable weaponry, with the strength of numerical health and armor pickups at your side. The way you fight will earn you perks from Stealth, Tactical, Assault and Demolitions trees, and all throughout the levels are collectables, some for collecting's sake, and others that upgrade your maximum health or armor or give insights into the world and its characters. Any level can be replayed to scrounge for items you may have missed, and any unlocked upgrades are retained unless you start a fresh playthrough. The game's setpieces and musical accompaniment are also excellent, and the implemenation of modern shooter features is very subdued: You can use ironsights, use cover and lean around corners if you want, but it is completely optional, as is attempting to sneak through levels and use throwing knives and backstabs. Several of the weapons have useful alternate fire modes and one weapon in particular, the Laserkraftwerk, recieves several upgrades over the course of the game and goes from a novelty to a powerful heavy weapon. You also regenerate only a trace amount of health, forcing you to conserve it and search out healthpacks as you would in the typical 90s FPS. The explosive action is accompanied by a suprisingly lucid inner monologue from our hero, coupled with brief but powerful moments of quiet interaction with his friends, raising this Wolfenstein from a simple fragfest into a category occupied more often by films then games. The campaign is riddled from beginning to end with surprising twists and a number of moments that made me smile, tear up or throw my arm in front of my face in disgust. The New Order is a true cinematic experience and embodies what I love best in the genre. I intend to revisit at a later date.… Expand

Игра олдовая. Есть стандартные хп, которые востанавливаються сжиранием аптечек с собачьем кормом, подбирать броню с касок немцев и обломков роботов.     The only thing in the new Wolfenstein that turned out really well is music. Shooting is decent and some weapons give proper sense of power, but developers failed to build an interesting game on these foundations. It has some good moments but none of them lasts long enough to be satisfying. Plus the writing is terrible and the way the game constantly forces all that ‘war is evil!’ preaching and Blazkowicz’s moral dilemmas down your throat is ridiculous. I actually couldn’t decide whether the game is being serious or not. [07/2014, p.56]
