Mar 22, 2023It's a good game with fantasy in it, I tried it in single player, so you'll get bored quite quickly, but it can be good in multiplayer game with friends.

Oct 8, 2016I really liked this game, it is beautiful and well designed, but it suffers from some problems, especially the targeting system complicated to understand at the beginning

Jun 11, 2015Some similarities to Sid Meier's Pirates! Not nearly as deep or fun. Strangely enough, these types of games are extremely addicting to me. The action is hard to come by. So far, it's mainly just steering the ship from town to town, trying to make money to upgrade stuff. I will get my money's worth out of this game. Not everyone will.

May 15, 2015Beautiful graphics, atmospheric music and sounds, rpg elements and career-like progression. gets repetitive after a few hours, still if you feel like spending some time on a top-down pirate adventure, its good fun! (shouldnt be priced more than 10Euro/USD though)

May 14, 2015Nice relaxing, relatively casual game. Reminds me a little of a lightweight mount-and-blade with different combat. smh at Game Spot review - totally ott. The online/coop is stable and worthwhile too.

Aug 25, 2015An alternative to the legendary Pirates! could use its potential way better. Cool war multiplayer is present in this contradictory sailing game but a stereotype is also there in the moments, when no one is left to sink.

CD-ActionJul 27, 2015Windward’s greatest strength – it’s simplicity resembling Sid Meier’s Pirates! – becomes a weakness when you try to take the relationship with the game to the next level. [08/2015, p.60]

Jun 29, 2015Windward is way too simplistic and repetitive. If Tasharen Entertainment expanded economic system, spiced up the combat and made more interesting quests, things would have been a lot different.
